Molden will likely slide into the starting slot cornerback role in place of Ja'Sir Taylor on Jesse Minter's defense. Rookie cornerback Tarheeb Still, who is a slot corner, was not seen at Chargers practice on Wednesday. It is unclear if the two moves are related.

I thought Tarheeb was doing well? Maybe he is dinged? Taylor I got the impression he wasn't doing all that well?

Nobody buys insurance from a company that promises "if you have a loss, we will pay you nothing and you will suffer immensely". I could accept someone deciding Stick is good enough more than I can accept this attitude that QB2 doesn't need to be able to play quarterback, he just needs to be QB1's room buddy and be congenially liked in the locker room for ... idunno, his personality?

Herbie has no trouble finding friends on the team. What he needs is a QB2 that play well enough that Herbie doesn't feel obligated to limp out onto the field for the team with a bloody dangling appendage because he knows the team will for sure lose if he's not out there. He played a whole season with cracked ribs because of this fact already once.

Idk about Moldon but we added Dye, Haskins , Rice, Fehoko, Colson?....who are supposed to be good STs players, may be better than Taylor 🤷

They are still tweaking the roster and I'm sure that the practice squad will see it's fair share of changes in the next few days too...

I would’ve liked us taking a run at Mike White or PJ Walker.

At this point I think they would only bring in an experienced veteran former starter as a backup, someone who would not need a lot time to learn an NFL playbook. Walker is not that experience. White has more experience but still not as experienced as someone like Tannehill, who would be my idea of the ideal backup QB.

Weak at TE, I think that gets addressed. If they do bring in a veteran TE, they might still keep Smartt and cut one of the bottom-end WRs.
