We have another son of NFLer. His father Alex, was an 11th overall draft pick and played 8 seasons in NFL. I actually remember Holden now, getting drafted from Washington Huskies who are pretty close to me.

I hope im wrong and I see the Chargers again in a SB.... we have the best coach we have had since Bobby Ross who somehow got our less than great talented team to over achieve every week and had 11 come from behind victories that got us to the playoffs....
in that SB we fell way behind.... if Mark Sey(sp) had caught that long Humpheries Bomb before halftime.... the opening kick return for a TD would have made that game a one score game.... that team was a great TEAM because they NEVER quit and played above exoectations.... I see this Harbaugh TEAM being similar but with MORE TALENT!!!

Look...Im glad you guys got your new QB2...if for no other reason, than you will all stop crying about it...
And I trust Jim n Joe...they felt a move was needed...
And every other move they made, and their overall approach has me grinning ear to ear...
BUT....why is everyone acting like Heineke is a master stroke, and QB depth savior?
Both him and Stick played 5 games last year.
Stick completion percentage was 63.8, Heineke 54.4
Stick was 3/1 TD/Int, Heineke 5/4
Stick rating was 85.6, Heineke was 74.7
Stick did take 14 sks to Heineke 8
Both averaged 6.5 yds/att
Both guys fair runners
Heineke had some OK years in Washington...but big issue taking care of the ball, even if he is the better arm talent.
Heineke didnt wow this preseason, either.
Where again is this huge upgrade? This is what everyone was clamoring for?
Well...I like 99 out of every 100 moves this new regime has made...thats good enough for me, lolLone Bolt's Final Mock
Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB
Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech

One huge difference is that Heineke can compete in big games and give you a chance to win. Stick cant. Heineke is a gamer, he will attack and take shots down field. He plays with an edge. Stick looks like a deer in the headlights out there. He does not play with confidence
Stick has never won an NFL regular game. Heineke has won 13.

Heinicke has had some nice comeback wins in his career and has a bigger sample size. Stick zero wins except this last preseason game.
Schtick also fumbled 5 times last year, losing 4., one returned for a TD as well as his lone INT last year.
We can get a better backup next year when we have more cap space.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina ✓
4. CJ West DT Indiana
5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
7. Carson Vinson OT Alabama

OK. I still think Hortiz is going to bring in an additional TE before the end of the week. Again, with just Dissly and always hurt Hurst and an undrafted under-weight college WR as depth, that area of the roster is lacking, especially for a team that wants to build a successful running game.
Am I wrong to think this? And, who do you think are the best candidates to join the Chargers at TE?
Bonus question. If they do bring in veteran TE help, will they cut Smartt and go with 3 TE or will they roster 4 TE and cut one of the WRs? (or IR Chark?)
