Jefferson's a vested veteran - he doesn't go through waivers. There's most likely a handshake agreement that they'll bring him back up shortly - he's being used as a flex piece while the rosters still in flux mode . . . . . . .

There's almost something unhealthy about a starting qb picking his "qb caddy"
too comfortable perhaps.
imo, a good qb2 should always have an element of pushing qb1 to not take a day off.
in no world does Herbert fear a Stick, or even a Henieke but it's a matter of pride. Herbert needs to know he can't ever bring his B-game because it's going to look a awful lot like Henieke's A game.
push and pressure your franchise qb to be great always I say, just like every other guy.

This feels like something Aaron Rodgers would do . . . . .

3 TEs on the practice squad seems a bit extreme, all they need is Fisk and Tomlinson...Benson looked overmatched blocking, is he like a STs guy?

I'm not sure. Is there a place that lists who is assigned ST?
There was some Benson hype coming out of training camp but it was short-lived.
I'm happy with Fisk but I think Tomlinson is a bit too old to be on the PS, personally I prefer younger, more athletic guys with a true chance to develop.

Only three TEs on the active roster and one of them plays so hard he hurts himself frequently and another is basically a big WR. So I get it.

Well iirc, Eli freaking Manning handpicked Daniel Jones for the NYG to draft while he was still the starting QB.

Looks like Hortiz put in a waiver claim for a CB the Jets released, but lost him to the Panthers. Shemar Bartholomew. They're not thrilled with the DB depth apparently.
