Marty sadly has some dementia. It probably prevents his making the speech to induct LT. I also thought he was an obvious choice because I know LT loved him like a father and Marty loved him right back.

What a class character. Things easily overlooked on LT are how good he was in the passing game, both catching and picking up blitzes. Every time he touched the ball, there was a possibility of a touchdown. What a goal line monster he was. There was something about him where he could just sniff the slightest crease and punch it through. He made a lot of his own yards too, running behind OL talent that was average. Wish he could have finished his career in SD. I don't fault the team for letting him go, as his results with the Jets indicated he was pretty much done though. What a fantastic player.

And a fantastic person. So rare in our world today. He reminds me of Walter Payton in many ways. And I think Payton is the best overall running back to ever play because he excelled at every aspect of the position.

Terrell Davis has no place in the HOF. Short career. His success was due to a team that employed borderline (now illegal) blocks that injured opposing defenses.

LT will be the fifth to speak, after Terrell Davis and before Jerry Jones. Kurt Warner will be the last to speak. His wife has an interesting do.

We know LT is going to cry, just don't know when exactly, maybe after the first minute. I'm glad that Marty Schottenheimer made the trip.

Pretty cool that before he even drafted, that Terrell Davis's agent said that he wanted to present him for enshrinement, and he allowed him to. TD thought the agent was nuts.

Congrats to San Diegan Terrell Davis, and sometimes Bolt's fan.
