Herbert is going to start and play the entire game. His ankle is not that big of a deal.

If they do hold Herbert out, I can see Stick being on a very short leash if he starts.

I wouldnt read a single thing into it - its basic evasive coach speak, watching out for NFL injury reporting rules/fines - I guarantee it’s nothing more and Herbie will in fact play. Herbie is questionable today, he has to pretend another player might play - as of today.

He was also asked Heineke or Stick and he said “it’s Stick as of today”. I’d study that part of his statement, personally . he is not going to tell the Steelers shit.

Exactly. Every guy on this thread watched him play the rest of the game, and probably saw him walking to the locker room with an almost undetectable teeny tiny minor limp. Herbie would fucking tape a stick to his ankle and wrap that bitch like a mummy in order to play.

Herbie will play. He always plays. He played with a broken left hand, he played with broken rib cage. Only thing that stopped him was when he broke his right hand finger and couldnt throw the ball. He can throw with a sore ankle and so … he will.

In the meantime, Harbaugh ain’t gonna tell the Steelers shit except that he is questionable and he’s working through something. He cant classify him doubtful without risking fines, or he probably would.

Do Herbert have a broken bone in his leg? Hell no. He’s starting.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
            Let’s win one for Mack.

Injury Reports are so betting sites can toy around with things. “Draft Kings, an official partner with the NFL.”

Biggest test for Alt. It will be downhill sledding after he faces TJ Watt.

IMO, he’s the best pass rusher in the league having led the league in sacks in 3 of the last 4 years. No other player in history has led the league 3 times.

                15 in 2020, 22.5 in 2021, and 19 in 2023.

With Herbert’s mobility curtailed with a sprained ankle, quicker passing has to be a mandate. If Herbert is unable to do that, he’s going to have a worse day than he did in Carolina.

That sounds like you’ve never had a bad ankle sprain.

The one I had was harder to stand on after a week went by then the day I was injured.

Of course I didn’t have it shot up with pain killers and taped the way I imagine they would treat Herbert but I just know lingering soreness can be pretty severe for quite awhile.

The game he completed 70% of his passes for 2 TDs and a 100 QB rating and an 88 QBR, both higher than his career average? That game?

I finally got a chance to watch the game broadcast yesterday and one obviously see things much differently than you do when watching a game in person. Still baffled by the Herbert was bad, aside from the pick.

No, but I did break my fibula and walked on it for a week until my foot turned purple. That’s when I decided to go see a doctor. I just don’t see Herbert missing a game.

It's his own narrative... nothing will stop it.
It probably has more to do with pick #5 than anything else.
                        Protect the QB
                        Run the ball
                        Play great defense

Yeah, the game he left with a serious injury because he held it too long. And it could have been much worse.
