They have too many injury prone players. Resigning Bosa was a mistake. Should have cut him and signed a weapon on the outside that could stretch the field, we don’t have a true burner. QJ is fast but he takes time to get to top speed.

Yup. Bosa is good for about 6-8 games/season. And maybe 3-4 of those will be impact games.

Just way too injury prone and way too inconsistent.

Yup...and the refs sure never miss a penalty on Mack, DJ or Bosa. They have eagle eyes when it comes to those dudes.

PIT can spear Dobbins while he's on the ground, though with no flag.

Our entire interior OL (except Bozeman) is made up of Staley/TT holdovers and it shows.

Fortunately Hortiz and Harbaugh will have a lot of high picks next year to replace all the dead weight.

There is truth to this but Alt got hurt because he was playing on a side he wasn’t practicing on. He was put into a position by his coaches that increased his chances of injury. It didn’t help that it was Pipkin and a new RG that let Hayward pressure the qb and then run his knee into Alts.

You aren’t wrong that was the overall reason but coaches need to make calls on what’s the best way to maximize and moving 3/5th of your like instead of replacing 1 olineman.

Whether Alt was on the left side or right side it wouldn’t have mattered one iota in terms of the outcome of this game with Herbert and Slater out.

I agree with Budsman. With brittle Bosa's history of missing games there was no reasonable expectation he would make it through more than a handful of games.

I would say based on his injury rate it was a gamble not worth taking but here we are. This offense needs someone to loosen up the box and we just don’t have that guy.

I have said for a while that this is a retooling year. I was hopeful after the quick start but it’s becoming obvious that they need next year to compete for the playoffs and the year after for the whole tamale.

Questionable call. I was ok with that being called, if it was offsetting. Mack was clearly being impeded with hands to the face.

I saw us get beaten by a better team. We want to be a power ground game O, mistake free, solid D. Steelers showed us what it looks like. Congrats to them.

Jim is right, we just got beat by a better team. The Steelers own this type of football Harbaugh is trying to bring to LA. We just got beat, plain and simple... Wasn't the refs and it wasn't Fields, it was poor discipline and injuries.

Maybe see if David Bakhtiari is healthy and in shape. They need to bring in some reinforcements on the Oline.

Losing Slater caused the house of cards in offense to crumble. Moving Pipkins back to RT and Alt to LT which they haven’t been practicing at so they can block one of the best pass rushing duos in the league was a recipient for disaster. It’s Roman’s fault for it having Salyer ready to fill in at LT or RT so we could keep the continuity.

after that it was horrible luck with Herbert and alt.

Bosa always gets injured, the refs handed the Steelers the TD and this team wasn’t ready for the stress of beating a tough Steelers team and the NFL.

it sucks but we don’t have the horses to blow people out.


Dobbins is exposed for being a good not great back. He can’t really carry an offense, he needs the oline to create for him and then he can do damage (unlike Gus). We need a difference maker at RB if we’re going to run this much. A RB who can bail out his line if they have a bad game.

Got to be kidding right lol. Unlike Gus? He did nothing. Has done nothing.

If you thought Dobbins was going for 100 every week I don't know what to tell ya. Pittsburgh I think was #1 against the rush after 2 weeks.
I don't think Najee Harris is that great imo but our D got wore down and he got some nice runs in the 4th.

Dobbins did ok, and he is so a good RB but it don't help when we have OL injuries. Slater left early 3rd quarter. We do need a better OC and RG next year.
The Steelers are a good team and if Fields keeps improving they will be hard to beat.
