Yep...interesting how quick the NFL was to pull the trigger on suspending Derwin...meanwhile, Rashee Rice maims people in an accident, facing aggravated assault, hit and run, etc., but NOT A WORD from the NFL about even suspending him ONE game...sure looks like a rigged system...IF you play for the right team...

Don't forget the Tyreek hill credible allegations of DV that were unpunished. Kareem hunt was suspended after he signed away from the Chiefs. I'm no conspiracy theorist but it's clear there a hierarchy of ownership that gets preferential treatment from the league.

At the very least, Freiermuth is crouched low and in making his cut is even a bit lower to the ground...in second photo, Derwin is as low as he can get and still make the tackle...in third photo, Derwin's initial hit was in the area between the shoulder and the helmet...but by the fourth photo Derwin's helmet does make contact with Freiermuth's helmet...it looks like James made every effort to avoid a helmet-to-helmet hit...

honestly it is very difficult to keep from hitting helmet to helmet....many times....

there are tackles that should be suspensions.... like many years ago Humphries was on the ground, and the defender dove at him leading with the helmet and humpheries was injured on that dirty play.....

I kind of do too. I'm thinking of all the targeting calls, not just this one. . The guy with the ball often bends down into that hit. So if a defender was aiming for the waist, he ends up hitting a helmet. I think they should consider that.

Harbaugh agrees with us. of course, he puts it in Harbaugh terms.
