    LT joining Chargers Front Office!

The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to announce 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and former San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson to a front office position in Los Angeles, according to Fred Roggin of NBCLA. As the Chargers em

I understand people being upset at Chargers moving. But to be upset at LT to join the front office in Los Angeles is a little much. I am very happy and excited to see him be a part of the FO, long overdue. Much like Magic Johnson joining the FO of Lakers, having LT be a part of your FO only makes sense. Seems like LT could be beneficial in Free Agent meetings, Chargers tradition and former stars can only help promote the Chargers new image in LA. It's a great PR move if nothing else.

Great players don't make great, or even good executives (or even analysts/commentators)

Seems like local Sports radio is portraying him as a traitor and speculating he is going to be gushing praise for Spanos at his HOF induction.

I mean, he's not the greatest analyst/football guru already, so I would have to believe this is purely a PR stunt.

I don't have anything against him (though I know some people developed such feelings) so I really don't have anything against this, other than the fact that he didn't join them while they were in San Diego.

I wonder how much he will be paid for this...

It probably will be better than what he's getting at the NFL Network, unless he gets to keep that gig as well. Its hard for me to believe that he'll uproot his family from Texas though, unless Torsha is serious about getting her career off the ground in LA LA Land.

Thinking about this, this is perfect for them as their first names do start with "La".

This is a dumb PR stunt. It will pay him better than ASI, though. (Who is his agent? Way to destroy his brand, moron.)

                He's not a traitor. He's a useful idiot.

If he had one more year in him and could put the pads on one more time, it might work, but as a retired player, even a HOF'er, IMO his ability to sell the team to the LA audience will be minimal at best. They may use him to try to get the San Diego market interested, but I don't think that will help much either. Love LT, but he's part of the Spanos regime now and for them I have no fondness whatsoever.

He's a sellout. Good for him. I guess he couldn't wait until after his induction. Yep, cares about the fans.

Hey be realistic, the Spanii were good to him (except at the end). They paid him a lot of dough. I'm sure he cares about the fans but I'm also sure they are paying him way beyond what is reasonable for this role. He and Rivers are all they have. He's in LA a lot for the NFL, so it's easy money for him. All he has to do is show up and schmooze. Maybe make some commercials and appearances. I also agree that they think his being on board will somehow translate to regaining fans, but it won't. LT never has had the kind of relationship with fans of, say, a Tom Brady or Reggie White. His star also tarnished some with his Darth Vader impersonation, grumbles about Rivers, stubborn-ness about his declining skills and ultimate trash talk once he moved on.

I don't have any issue with him taking that job. He's just trying to make what he can, while he can. I just feel sorry that he probably doesn't realize that he's being manipulated.
