Broncos game will be ugly. Their defense is stout and will sell out to stop the run. I'm sure our defense will keep their rookie QB in check but I don't trust the offense to do anything meaningful late in the game when it matters.
Hell, maybe we tie!

There are a number of factors in play besides all of the injuries. We have a new coaching staff we're getting used to. As much as you and others may not like it, we're not going to be the Air Coryell or Norv Turner Chargers under this coaching staff. We hired Harbaugh to be a tougher, more physical team that controls the clock and wins the line of scrimmage. We controlled the line of scrimmage defensively for a good amount of the game today, which played a huge part of us holding the Chiefs to 17 points. We didn't do it offensively. Not having Alt or Slater, and starting a practice squad player at right guard, will play a huge reason for us not being able to do that, especially when the defense we went up against is led by a future Hall of Famer in Chris Jones. That is reality. Not fantasy. It's also reality that we have a bye at a good time next week and have 13 games after that. Losing today under the circumstances we were in was not the end of the world.
they hired Jim Harbaugh to win. I'm sure the Spanos and no one here cares how they win. Just win Jim.
I will agree that the bye week couldn't come at a better time

We all talk that Hebert lost his weapons this year. Well so did Josh Allen and look at the stuff he pulls off. I used to argue that Herbert was better than Allen but I objectively cannot anymore. Not only has Allen won big games, playoff games, he regularily puts his team on his back and makes shit happen, makes dynamic plays....he wills his team to wins.
Herbert is a gamer, he is tough, talented...a good QB....but his results have removed him form the elite category with most...at least for the time being.

I just watched the highlights of the Pitt-Indy game. Joe Flacco had to come in for Richardson. The Colts' OL protected Flacco very well for most of the game, and Flacco picked apart Pitt's defense. He had a clean pocket most of the time. Completely different from what Pitt was doing to Herbert the previous week.

Herbert is not elite. No way. He is a good QB that we hope can be better. Let's just say if he were to turn into prime Alex Smith...it would be an improvement.ESPN Screename: GoBolts02

And people do care about how we win, considering there were plenty on here complaining about how we didn't put up enough passing yards against the Raiders.

Yes i do miss the days when herbert was setting records and making the Pro Bowl. It was soimething entertaining to follow as the team doesnt make or win playoff games. I realize that is gone with harbaugh regime but some balance would be nice. You have to be able to pass in the NFL.
No one will convince me that Justin bloody Herbert with a top 3 arm in the NFL and elite processing should be LAST in passing yards of all QBs in the NFL FFS. There are some pretty average to weak starting QBs. The 2 good defenses we have played have handled Romans run game easily. Steelers were shutting down Dobbins before Slater injury.

Jim Harbaugh is a proven winner in several stops. It makes no sense to lose faith in him and act like this is Brandon Staley all over again after these past two losses.
