I think this is a loss and not a close loss. We saw what happened with Levis and Calvin Ridley last weekend. Burrow is a far better quarterback than Levis and Chase is a phenomenal WR. The last few games, we have seen the problems with this secondary and their youth and how this defense can get burned. Further, this is a must win for the Bengals if they want to make the playoffs. Burrow has that big game, big play ability. The NFL also loves, and I mean loves, Burrow and having him in the playoffs. And, this is primetime. I will bet that the Bengals come out fast, and score quickly and run the score. The Chargers offense lacks the talent and ability to play catch up and get back in the game. I also think the Bengals score more than 28 in this game. A score guess? 34 - 20 Bengals.

Our effecient, if not prolific, offense has a weak D in front of them...will they take advantage, and keep pace with the Bengals? Put 40 points on the board?

We havn't played a team quite like the Bengals...hopefully we dont find weak links yet to be exposed...and adjust strategy and gameplan to suit..
Keep pace with the Bengals who average 27 ppg against weaker defenses? Burrow is a very good passing QB on a 4-6 team.
They lost to NE, KC, Was, Bal x2, Phil. They have beaten Car, NYG, Clev, LVR, the best of whom has an average D.
          We have a shot.

I'm going to disagree with your feared blowout prediction. thats all, just disagree.

            Chargers 31, Bengals 20

... because NOBODY scores more than 20 against My Chargers

a shot? its a lock! ok, jk - maybe not a lock but this fear being fomented about a 4-6 team that has not beaten a single good team yet is ironic. They lost to NE, for gosh sakes!

sorry I had to drop a gosh-bomb, but gosh darnit i get so fired up

You have a point re NFL love for Burrow. He may get KC style officiating and you know how that goes. He'll need it. They haven't played and won vs an above average scoring D. I don't think we'll be his first but with the officials in his pocket? Maybe,

                  Was that a Harbasim?
We should win and I think Jim is pretty fired up about beating up on an NFL sweetheart in primetime. And, this IS his team.

Bengals remind of me some teams with Rivers at QB
Good enough to be competitive against the better teams in the league but they don't beat them
                    Hence the 4-6 record

I have no idea who is going to win - as if I did - I would be in Vegas better the house. But if the Chargers win, I won't see it as an upset

This would be the first real test for our D. We have not yet played a team with an elite QB + elite WR. KC of course elite QB, but their O has
been subpar up until very recently. Burrow doesn't do well when pressured (not too many QBs do) so that's something to keep an eye on as
Cincy's Oline is not great this year, but their O is still putting up a lot of points.
                      .

Charger pep squad thinks it’s as easy to cover Chase with Burrow throwing to him as Jalen Coker with Bryce Young.

We will see. There simply hasn’t been a test like this so far so impossible to say.
