TT Missed the Red Flags on Zion Pre-Draft

Too bad TT and the old Bolt staff missed the red flags on Zion Johnson pre-draft. Who would guess we'd be looking to replace him already? Now we're still paying the price. Look what they were saying about him PRE-DRAFT:

Well, let's hope that continues, because we sure don't want that IOL pressure to get Herbie injured, right when things are clicking...

Yup, that’s been Zion’s DNA up until now.

CRISPR technology is advancing rapidly. Perhaps they can modify his genome.

They also mention the proper scheme... Does GRo employ the proper scheme for Zion to be successful due to his limitations? Did we last year?

He stepped up against one of the better DL in football. Wasn't perfect, but he had a good game. Can he sustain it? Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes.

I believe this year at some point we have to decide to pick up Zions 5th year option.
I don't think he is worth what his 5th year will pay but JHar seems to love him.
Maybe the light goes on the second half of the season. We'll see.

I sure hope Zion doesn't suddenly pick up his play the last half of this season in order to get that 5th year, or to sign a fat extension...only to slack back to his usual schtick...

I think he went from his worst game ever against the Browns to his best game vs the TItans. Who might have an even better DL. You give up 5 pressures you will get some attention. I think they are just working him. Trying to get him better. The fitness part of it has changed for sure.

Im not so quick to get on players right now. Especially high draft picks that havnt lived up to the draft slot. And i say that because just about everyone on this team has had bad coaching for years. Developing the negatives is what i always say.

I think most guys including Zion might be able to evolve over time with good coaching. Gonna just let this year go regarding players. Even Bozeman who has been our lowest graded player all season i think.

Im not saying the OL is locked in by any means...just that good coaching doesnt make guys good overnight. Especially when the are trying to relearn good habits.
