Disagree with this - sure we could have set up the game winning kick, but anything can happen on a FG. Botched snap/hold, missed, blocked, etc. Taking the guaranteed TD and leaving the Bengals with 18 seconds and one timeout was the right play, even as close as that hail mary was. If there had been closer to a minute+ left (and still with the Bengals only having 1 timeout), then I would agree with taking a knee.

That is true. We've seen two blocked field goal attempts at the end of games the last two weeks. The Broncos and Bears weren't in position to score touchdowns, but they lost heartbreakers to the Chiefs and Packers when their potential game-winning kicks were blocked.

I'm rattled from that game. Atmosphere at SoFi was great and the first half was as loud and proud as I e heard it since the SD days.

second half triggered my PTSD from Jax. Dropped balls, all of a sudden Herbert was missing and Burrow and Tee Higgins with a touch of Chase carved us up. Thank god he remembered McConkey and started hitting him with under a minute to go in the game. This one hurt the confidence I was feeling in this team

I think this increased their confidence. It got the proverbial monkey off their back that they have been carrying arguably since even before Staley, but certainly since the Jaguars playoff game.

two things stood out to me, we went over 27 points in a game for the first time all season. AND our defense allowed more than 20 points for the first time all season too...damn, Cincy has a LOT of great players on that offense...

I agree. I don't get this chemistry thing, unless you really believe Palmer or even QJ is just that much better than Chark out there. I think Chark adds a nice dynamic that gets Ladd even more open.
