thats all true. You left out that Earl Campbell, Dan Pastorini and someone else really fucking important were all hurt and didn't play. Its a cautionary tale to be careful what you wish for in the playoffs

I was outside that game - in line for tickets for the next week's game - camped overnight on the cement with my best friend and about 200 of my newest friends who had the same idea to camp out for tickets after this sure-victory. we had coolers stocked (god bless the good ol days when an American kids could fill up a cooler with beer and drinks and such), beach chairs, sleeping bag (didnt use) and a tiny 10" black and white battery powered piece of shit TV to watch that fucking game.

We were #3 in line. Limit of 4 tickets per person ... turned out to be jack squat!

I'll never forget the groans from the stadium throughout the game and then the fat happy Texans rolling out laughing in their big stupid cowboy hats ... cautionary tale

The Oiler's coaching staff stole the Chargers offensive signals and relayed the play call to their middle linebacker .... I think he only knew if it was going to be a pass/run.
The rest of the defense did not know so that the Chargers wouldn't be tipped off.

Those on Houston in the know openly admit to it now ... after all these years.

Houston did have a very good defense.

Not only are the Texans a better draw, so is their warm stadium over going into Buffalo, Pittsburgh or KC in the winter.

This is why I brought it up. Obviously others know this but this game is now the biggest game of the year.
Not only that maybe there's a upset in the other games.
Long way to go but interesting to be able to even think about.

Agree with you. If the Chargers win - they have a two game lead - in the loss column over every team below them and would own the tiebreaker, as of Monday with all of them as well
