This mentality is going to help us beat KC next Sunday. KC defense thrives on QB egos and stupidity.

      I believe it'll be a hard fought close game. W- L TBD.
that's what we all thought about the ravens and then the falcons...but passing game wasnt there for either game.

Just watched the replay and was really shocked to see how slow Bosa has become. It looked like he was running in molasses.

Kind of sad in a way...

            He's still playing hurt IMO.

But the other side of that ratio is getting pretty weak...TD passes. none in 2 games and only 13 TDs on the season?? Some of his peers are pushing 30 TDs on the season now. I love the no turnovers but we are going to need some TDs to compete with the good teams.

I realize with Harbaugh/Roman Herbert wont be leading the NFL in passing stats including TD passes....but 13 is a bit alarming by this point
I think Herbert is running the offense the way Harbaugh and Roman want him too - conservatively, take what the defense gives him, don't try to play hero ball.

You can say his lack of big time passing stats is alarming, compared to what Herbert has already accomplished as a passer in earlier seasons.

But with his subdued style of play in the Harbaugh/Roman offense, the Chargers are 8-4, so I wouldn't be too alarmed.

8-4 taking care of the teams on the schedule they should beat (which is awesome for year 1 of rebuild) but not dynamic enough on offense to beat the Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs..and likely Bills or other top teams

Look as much as we celebrate the secondary play yesterday and not to take away from that but Cousins played the worst game i have seen in a long time. We got no pressure, he had all day to throw ina clean pocket and he made unimagnable poor decisions and throws. Any normal QB play with the opportunites the Falcons had and we lose that game with what our offense put out. We got lucky

No, we did not get lucky. Our D bated him into interceptions, confusing the hell out of a veteran QB. Mahomes said the same thing earlier this year about how Minter's coverage confused him. That was the 5th time we held a team to 13 points or below, and that was a team with good skill players. Luck had nothing to do with it.

                      Exactly.
specifically look at the pick 6, rookie Tarheeb baits Cousins by flashing body language running deep, but his head and eyes are on Cousins the whole time.
helps that Cousin has no arm.

Taking care of teams they should beat - precisely. That is the mark of a quality team. The Chargers in 2024 are good team. They are playing above the talent on the roster due to great coaching. But still the roster limitations are going to prevent it from being an elite team. That is obvious by now. Pushing Herbert to play hero ball is not going to make this team better, it will result in more losses.

Hortiz did what he could to make this roster competitive in 2024. Mission accomplished. But this first season of the Harbaugh/Hortiz era is going to be about evaluating the roster for the future. The Chargers in 2025 have the 7th most cap space and 11 draft picks. They will know exactly what they need to make this roster better, and they will have the resources to build it into a more elite team.

This team in 2024 has limitations, but they are winning. So sit back and enjoy it. I know I am.

As for the Falcons game being a gifted win, well the Chargers gifted a win to the Cardinals several weeks ago. The Ariz game was one they should've won, the Atl game was won they probably shouldn't have won. So they balance each other out IMO. It happens in the NFL.

The Chargers still ranked 1st in pass defense?
