KC isn't a high scoring team on avg. They beat us 17 - 10 wk 4. Their avg is 24.1 ppg this season. They allow an avg 19.2. They win by less than a TD in the closing minutes normally.
This is not the high flying KC offense of old. Homie throws a lot of picks (14) and get sacked as much as Herbert. KC's OTs suck as bad as our IOL.
Personally I like this set up going in. We're the better D in points allowed and takeaways. I believe that we can outscore them
If Ladd isnt playimg I think this will be very ugly and embarassing on national TV, sorry to say. With the lack talent that is left without Dobbins and Ladd, and Roman's playcalling, this is a very anemic offense they are putting out there.
I like the big picture, i like the culture change, the 8 wins, the defense etc... but lets call a spade a spade...there isnt a more painful offense to watch in the NFL right now than the Chargers.

I think you're assuming a lot based on the Atl game. Like that's it, the best we have. We averaged 27+ in the previous 5, a target I expected.
Vs Atl we held the O back quite a bit. No run by Herbert and they cut back on Gus and Vidal who were averaging over 4 yds per carry.
I have no explanation for how that went but I don't believe it was close to our best effort with the offensive players available.
Regardless it was a W and fun to watch for me at least. Great D performance.
Without Ladd and JK Dobbins, this is going to be a hard game to win. Harbaugh loves ugly games and he can game plan to make a game ugly. Is this a game where Mahomes coughs up a few INTs (that aren't overturned by a goofy flag)? Do the Chiefs get called for offensive holding for once? If the game is called clean, and the defense shows up, this could be an ugly game on national TV. Like ugly, ugly. If it reaches that point, I could see both teams struggling to break 20 points, a 16 to 9 sort of score line. I don't think the Chargers win, but I do think this is going to be a close, ugly game and one the Chargers could win. Herbert will need to run to make it work.
Easy one to predict. If our offense does not show up, we lose. By hook or crook, KC is the master of winning close games. The game
is also in KC, not a great place for the Chargers in recent history. Unfortunately our 2 biggest offensive weapons may not play.
Dobbins is out. Ladd is dealing with a knee injury. Does not bode well for our offense. Defense will have to come up big just
to keep the game close.
On the bright side it looks like we will make the POs. The placing will depend on beating Denver. That should be a huge game.

Ladd is key, unfortunately I am not real optimistic without him. If thats the case...for there to be a chance...yes it will require a great defensive effort, which I think is possible....but also for once, Greg Roman is going to have to get creative with his play calling
