Why not?

Other teams have undrafted rookies, practice squad guys step in and contribute. Why can't Chark (an NFL veteran and starter quality WR) or BRice (talented rookie) do the same?

All I'm asking for is contribution. It doesn't mean 200 yards and a multi-TD game. Scheme something up to get a few receptions to these guys and see what they can do. Especially if Ladd is out, we're going to have to find ways to move the ball.

I still want to see what happens if we just keep it close and pound it 15-20 times with Gus. He's fresh at this point in the year. Use him.

Just beat the Chiefs and maintain that #5 PO spot. Houston looks a lot better than the Steelers, Bills or Chiefs in January.

Why does DD only have 6 RECs through 12 games, half were thrown to him behind the LOS. he knows how to run, right? he's still fast, right? can't Greg get one of his coaches to point him downfield or something?

DD doesn't get many snaps because they like to use the big guys, TE and FB. They don't play a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets. So if he got snaps it's either take out the big guys and be lighter or stay heavy and sub out Johnston or Palmer more often or Ladd, but those big WR also block better than Davis. So.....that leaves him as the PR specialist and backup speedy WR who gets 12 snaps of offense and gets 1 carry, 1 screen, and 1 pass down field. Hard to see him any more involved unless players are out and he has to play 25-30 snaps. Since Chargers stay committed to the run, the game clock moves faster. They offense had 46 snaps last game. So DD was in on 26% of them with 12.
