Ladd has already lined up as punt returner this season.... cant remember if davis was dinged up, but Ladd was back there to FC punts...... you need a smart guy with great hands in certain situations where you cannot afford a muff or bad decision...... Ladd is smarter, bigger and tougher than Davis.....

Wes Chandler lined up as punt returner in playoff game..... Coryell played alot of starters on ST's like Winslow who blocked kicks....

KA has also done it in critical situations.....

We’d suddenly see star players all over the ST groups when playoffs started.

Random thought but Haskins running style reminds me of someone, can't put my finger on it but it's something I think of every time he gets a carry.

I know he has the skills - that's not the point. As the only real WR (currently) on the team it would be completely irresponsible on the part of the coaching staff to put him at risk as a kick returner (at least this season). In the future (next year) when we have other pass catchers who are effective and can be relied upon - maybe LM could return kicks in certain circumstances.

WOW only 87% at less than 30 yards?! That is HORRIBLE! I didnt remember Rolf being that bad but I do remember he didnt have much of a leg.

He was seriously ill one season and lost a ton of weight. It was kind of a feel good story..

FG kicker wasn't considered a weapon like it is these days...

Until you get the playoffs that is. Then I see stars playing ST. Heck, Kellen Winslow was in there blocking figgies once they got into the playoffs.

why are we worried about DD returning kicks, again? I forget already …

Gilman will be fine. The secondary will be fine. Even if he misses the Raiders game.
