Chargers have done much better with play action and the vertical passing game

herbert has the arm to get it down the field. That dink and dunk stuff is wasting his talents

Hence, why there is the need for still a third WR that complements Ladd and based on yesterday and his improving, QJ. Plus a TE

I will say this about Harbaugh and Romans -- they wanted to run the ball to set up the passing offense - but post bye, they have changed and realized the offense is best when the passing game is used to set up the run

Mina Kimes and Orlovsky had a good feature about the Chargers and how Herbert is one of the best in the NFL with throws 20+ yards. Only scratching the surface - so Joe Hortiz, memo to you "Fix the IOL, get a TE and another WR!"

QJ is a completely different player than Williams. QJ’s game is slowly developing. Let’s hope this last game is a springboard for the future. But it doesn’t mean that they can’t add another legitimate weapon on the outside.

A team I would call is the Bears and see what the want for DJ Moore. I love Moore’s game! Moore, Conk, QJ, a legit TE1 and a Legit RB1 could do some real damage.
Is there an Anthony Miller or Tony Martin out there -- a true vertical threat. Thats what I am looking for

NOT TYREEK HILL!!! No thank you

I wondered the same too. I thought all analyst reports agreed that Alt held up well at LT yesterday. It did seem that they couldn't run well to the right side with him on the left, coincidence or correlation? I am thinking positive and expecting Slater plays and we can all sigh a "whew!" relief and forget this question.

Next immediate question: Do coaches start Pipkins at RG, or Salyer?

Alt did do a good job

Just saying if Sarell knows he will be starting and Alt will be playiing LT -- they have all week to practice -- so the players and coaches should be better prepared compared to yesterday
Basically - no excuses if Slater can't go.

We know KC's field, the team and their tendencies. That's foe sure.

Quite the opposite. We play this Saturday. If the chips fall in place and we have to play KC on the following Sunday we would have
              7 days off.

The Chargers - if they play the Chiefs -- will play them on Saturday. Thats pretty much a given with the bye week teams - they play on Saturday where feasible.

Now if the league put the Texans and Chargers on Monday night and the Chargers played the Chiefs, that game would be on Sunday

Different argument since the argument was about playing the Chiefs on the following Sunday. If that happened we would have 7 days rest not 6. The fact
that the brackets won't or may not allow it is a different story.

Everyone rounds and counts a slight bit different for the same fact set, we all usually mean the same thing. I count Saturday to the following Sunday as 8 days. Hopefully they are taking very few of those days "off" - they've got work to do. sleep when they're dead, and all that .

LAC will get an extra day vs a normal week, whether its work, rest, somewhere in between (film study/meetings only) on some days? I'm sure coaches will be working Sunday morning and players will have that day off to watch football and nurse sore bits.

KC will be rusty after mailing in yesterday and then having this week off, thats my hope anyway.

One game at a time, as many here say. Lets go beat the Texans. I know we can.

One thing that dawned on me as I stared at the "brackets" - they present them based on today's situation, but I am thinking they reset the pairings based on remaining seed numbers? if in fact either PIT 6 or DEN 7 win, wouldn't they go to the #1 seed instead of us?

If both of them won, we'd then get a home game against PIT?

BUT - if PIT and BUF wins, PIT gets KC and we get BUF? If DEN and BAL win, we get BAL and DEN gets KC?
** I'd rather play KC personally.

Best way to think is just be ready to play whoever is in front of you. One game at a time, assume you have to beat everyone or anyone.

Texans are a good team. Started strong - finished a little shakey. But injuries no doubt have hurt.

They will play with a chip to be sure
Them and the Steelers are also playing the worst football right now of any teams in the playoffs. This is a good draw.
