One thought: Shane Day worked on the Texans staff last year as an offensive assistant last year. We know how much he helped Herbert when he was here the first time and we see Herbert has improved even more with him returning. He'll be able to provide some insight into what Stroud does and doesn't do well.

Its the playoffs, so I saying "it isn't going to be easy" is pretty silly. I think the Texans defense is good. Really good. They will cause some problems -- problems that will worsen if Slater is not playing. The Chargers offense continues to improve and finished respectfully ranked in the NFL -- despite what I still think is a relatively shallow talent pool. The Chargers defense is good, but as we have seen, it is not quite as good as folks thought. But the Texans offense is pretty poor too. I think the Chargers win. I'm not going to give a score because I expect it will be a pretty close one -- decided by less than 7 points.

In the NFL the team that makes the fewest mistakes usually wins, and that's even more true in the playoffs . . . . . . . . . . .

We are ahead of schedule and playing with house money at this point so I won't be too dissapointed even if we lose a very winnable game. The texans pass rush, corners and Nico Collins are all problems. I still think we have a 50/50 shot even if Slater doesn't play.
