I live in Northern LA county, thankfully no major fires in my area but a few that are getting a bit closer. Have a couple friends who have lost their homes in the Palisades unfortunately..

I went to the gym this evening, stopped and was listening to fire news, guy walking by with his dog “listening to fires?” I said yeah, he says his BF in PP just lost his home, brand new just moved in over summer. Sad.

one of my BF lives in Pasadena, his ex-BIL lost his house in Altadena. It’s so tragic what so many are going thru and will go thru. Prayers. We had some fires in my area of North County SD - half dozen years ago? - San Marcos and Carlsbad. Never got too close to us, maybe 1.5 miles away, but it tore thru a section of Carlsbad nearby and friends lost houses. Tragic.

sounds like the Rams are playing their game in Arizona AND it sounds like the Chargers had to shorten their practice today due to air quality issues...they should probably just fly out to Houston a day early and get away from the chaos before it becomes a distraction...

The city I live in is very accustomed to fires in the Summer time. Thankfully I have never had to evacuate (have been up here 23 years or so) or been directly affected although many have come close. I feel for people directly affected - it's absolutely devastating - many are losing a good portion, if not all, of their life's memories, some even their livelihoods/businesses. Very sad.
