I’m really happy with this pick considering what was left
and also considering that we’re probably too high to trade back. I suspect they were in talks since they took it to the wire.

We now have our thunder and lightning.

The pick makes sense, even with our other needs. We have Harris and literally no other good RBs. Henderson would have been a better compliment to Harris but Hampton will be our guy going forward.

You mean we had no good RBs.

This is a perfect North-South, between the tackles, Gap/Duo running back.

Hampton amassed an FBS leading 1497 yards '23 + '24 on Inside Zone runs.

He is a bone crusher in pass pro, does not drop passes, and does not fumble.

MJD was off on him imo. Ranked hims as his 7th RB. I see a Joe Mixon type. He is a couple guys to me. Michael Turner with Jonathon Taylor vibes in the pass game. I think his comp for a current guy is Mixon. Might have a higher ceiling.

I was all over him early in the process. But with Harris added i started to lean more Lions template and was thinking Henderson to create that Montgomery vibe.

You could say that the run game in the Texans playoff game killed everything. That 4th and 1 stop. Just nobody that could fall forward. Dobbins is just too light. And was injured. We wont miss a beat in the run game.

And that was just so damn imperative. A complete workhorse bellcow RB. And i think he had most of his game well over 20 carries a game. This rush attack with Becton added should be fun. Should really take a lot of pressure off the offense and in turn the defense.
