Wait. Actually I got something for you. A quote from Tre Harris:

“Something I take pride in is going out there and taking the DB's soul.”

It's that type of conviction and killer instinct that makes Tre Harris mentally win battles from onset of play through completion through getting more YAC. Hearing that quote my first impression was a nickname of "Soul Snatcher".
Isn’t that what Booker said about defenders?

how does scheme, ball tracking, size, and even route execution allow him to outrace dbs from points A to B?

He’s going to B before the DBs know he’s going to B.

Exactly. A 4.54 guy whom never recorded at or above 20 mph top speed is not outracing SEC DBs.

He's beating them. 2 sperate things.

In dynamic sports like boxing, basketball, or football how do you beat someone that's faster than you? Timing. A game plan. execution. fundamentals.

If u watch Tre's film, he has a consistent knack for finding the soft spot in the zone...and gets wide open frequently...not too bad on contested catches also...I also like Tre's double move...left this defender in the popcorn machine:

Watch the whole play, starting at 2:09:

            Crazy cool move...LOVE IT!

I had more doubt about Ladd adapting to the NFL than Tre.

              And look what happened.

Harris was coming off injury at the combine. 4.5 is not slow for someone of his size. Long speed and forty speed not always the same. And lastly teams knew his role, knew the routes he almost always ran. Could not stop him.
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

when running he doesnt look fast but it looks like he's a smooth strider so deceptively fast. and 40 times versus playing speed...I'll take playing speed over running in tighty whiteys.

my untimed amateur clip viewing of him.

he's not fast in his first 10. not super slow, but not fast. But he has some good double step and hesitate-go moves and techniques, coupled with strength to swim-swipe away LOS press attempt to jam him up. Many of his underneath reception highlights show these skills to get open underneath despite not having a blazing 1st step acceleration. He also seems to have above-average zone gap awareness
                      .
Once he gets rolling, he looks to have competitive speed and when he gets a step or two, its not easy for DBs to make it back up. DBs better get him in the first 10 cuz the second and third 10s will be harder.

He could come in and get a starting lineup spot in camp. Or he could take awhile to get up to NFL speed and skill level. Can't wait to see him live.

And it happened despite the shitshow around him at the WR position and on the O-line. Highly improbable, for certain.

Plus Harris a classic example of a guy who plays fast, faster than his timed 40
