According to the QJ defenders, don’t expect much from Tre until year 3.

It takes 2 years to learn how to catch and hold onto the ball.

from what i recall qj had issues hand-catching in college as well.

So maybe, then, it takes six years to learn the skill

In the 2023 draft, Q was arguably the best WR. His weakness was not maximizing his catch radius and allowing the ball to reach his chest too often. His struggles became more obvious as a Charger.

Getting better depends on his attitude and work ethic. Bad habits can be over come. It's up to him mostly.

It’s more than habits, otherwise there would be 100’s of Justin Jeffersons.

It’s like saying Kobe Bryant or Stephen Curry’s ability to shoot 3 pointers and ball handling were the result of habits.

For every sports professional in a skill position there are tens of thousands of people with the same prototypical size that don’t have the innate coordination and it can’t be taught.

Q is in position, the ball is where he needs it to be and he fails to retain it. Nothing can be done?
Curry makes a high % of 3 pts. Nothing can be done to change that?
                        I disagree.
When he has all the necessary characteristics, improvement is the result of hard work and practice.

Tre Harris looked like a better route runner than I expected during rookie minicamp. I was impressed.
