I'm hearing crazy athlete for his size, played on the edge at Houston (before transferring) and that Oregon didn't use him in a manner conducive to his skill set.
Will be a way better pro than college player.

If they let him play some 3T, he could be a very surprising disruptor as a pass rusher. I'm kind of getting 2010 Antonio Garay vibes with this guy production-wise, except he's not going to be at the tail end of his career like Garay was when we gave him a chance to finally start. Moreover, he has much better athletic traits than Garay, and much higher upside with the potential to play at 3T, and even 5T. There's a lot to like here.

When Caldwell was at Houston, he was a penetrating IDL. He went through NIL and went to Oregon and was told to put on weight and be a space eater so Harmon can eat. He has the ability to do both. The Chargers coaches will be able to blend both space eating and penetration. I love this pick after further evaluation.

Yes me too. I liked him before draft, thought maybe 4th, but I domt mind him in 3rd before Phillips and others now that I see the fit and his potential

One of the clip showed him against Michigan. He was getting to the backfield quick. Jim probably remembered him from wrecking that game
