Leading the SEC in sacks is impressive.

I used to mock him...kinda lost track of him in this ultra deep class...good value, often thought of him as a day 2 guy.

No question an Edge is needed as Mack and Dupree will both be gone next season.
Definitely a better pass rusher than run stopper, which seems to be his main weakness.

He’s strictly a pass rushing EDGE. It’s fine. They need another rotational guy who can come in on 3rd down and develop from there.

I'm sorry to have to tell you all the obvious, but we just drafted Shaun Phillips 2.0.

That would be great news, JagFT.

I am hoping for that and not former 4th round Mike RUmph.
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Obviously, I'm pretty stoked to get him in the 4th round.

I consider both Hampton and Kennard two of my favorite picks.
I've picked both players numerous times the last 5 months during mocks...

                  Other than getting a high-round TE... they've chosen BPA's @PON's I really agree upon.

Legit top 100 player on many boards i liked. Had one of his best games against Bama. And thought he timed slower...his game speed is faster. He flushed Milroe out and almost chased him down. But just have an edge guy that can chase down flushed out QBs was a big deal to me. Just tired of 3rd or 4th and longs and a QB able to evade our defense due to slow egde guys. Mack is not what he used to be chasing guys down. Bosa was slow. Its not just about the sacks. And he had plenty. Its that chase down speed that forces a QB to rush a pass. I want to reduce the amount of time a mobile QB has to make a pass when on the move.

Agreed. I can remember you talking about Hampton months ago. He was that 1st guy we liked that we felt could get to 22. Then the madness began.
Love Kennard specifically cause I like productive, successful guys in big conferences going to Minters staff knowing they have an already high caliber player that’s ready day 1.

Kyle Kennard is proving to be an immediate force in the SEC, recording 10.5 sacks this season in his first year at South Carolina. He leads perhaps the most disruptive Gamecocks defensive line in years, putting himself in a position to break the school's mark for sacks in a single season which was set by former first overall pick Jadeveon Clowney back in 2012. With his highly explosive pass-rushing skills, combined with his high motor, Kennard projects as a first-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
