UNC issued a statement saying she’s welcome at Practices although she isn’t a UNC employee.

it just looks strange. And she’s clearly trying to have an influence over Bill. This may be why he didn’t get some of those NFL jobs.

I find it hypocritical that the man who made such a big deal about not letting players be theirselves and keeping the main thing the main thing no days off. Suddenly it’s fine for him to have his thang all over the practice facility.

But we get mad at Coach prime for being loud and having Brovado.

Yeah, I respect that. I agree to a point and I personally don’t give two iotas of a crap about who or what Belichek does in his personal life. I also know that he made his fortune by being in a public entertainment based activity and therefore he’s put himself out there for people to see. In my view Belichek made his bed with the millions from people being interested in him and now he can sleep in that very comfortable bed of money.

Yeah, I think coaching college would be a sweet retirement gig. I can’t think of a better way for Belichek to continue doing what he’s clearly very good at while also not having as big of a spotlight as the NFL or power programs.

100%, I can’t even name their current coaches. I don’t know if they have GFs, spouses, pets, or massage fetishes. I DON’t EVEN KNOW IF THEY LOVE TACOS for god’s sake! If I start researching, you know where I’m starting. I know whats important in life.

My point is reinforced. Nobody outside of Chapel Hill cared about UNC’s coaches or what he did or who he was with or anything about him until it was Bill. But I do apply that same standard to Bill. Obviously the vast majority disagree with me, thats perfectly fine. I’m just one galoot with a keyboard and interwebby connection, nothing special here.

I can name the Aztec’s last 3 head coaches. Last-First: Sean Lewis, Brady Hoke, Rocky Long, and Brady Hoke again. Before them was Chuck Long and Tom Craft. Keep going back 4 coaches or so and we get to the great Don Coryell. I know Rocky was a devoted husband, cuz he talked about it a lot and even moved back to be DC at NM because his wife wanted to go back. I really don’t know about the rest at all and I have followed Aztecs since my parents took me to games as a kid.

Very concerned about Sean Lewis - his team was horrible last year. His Aztec Fast fell flat on its face and for the first time in forever, their defense stunk. The most poorly coached Aztec team in well over a decade, consecutive presnap penalties were the norm. He’s got new QB prospects this year, we’ll see if any of the recruiting improves the roster caliber or he figures out how to prepare a team for a game. I would not bet a platter of tacos on him winning the MWC, he led the team from perennial MWC contenders and bowl invitees to 10th place 3-9 record last year. I WILL watch every televised Aztec game, per always, and if they discuss his familial situation at all, I promise to come back here and relay the info.

Claude Gilbert was extremely under-appreciated in his time. He had the misfortune to follow Don at the same time the program was making big steps up in competition class. A very good coach, winning record, not just an annual 11-0 or 10-1 like The Don.

I didn’t want him hired for LAC at all. Not a little, not for a second.

It’s not clear she has magic super power control over him and he’s not just letting shit go that he wants to let go. His entire persona is IDGAF, he probably doesnt give a fuck about things others think he should take action about and prove he’s still a man. he probably laughs at that notion and thinks hyperbolic gasping about her bouncing around a spring practice is hysterical and stupid. Has she interfered with him doing what he wants to do to coach his new team? Beats me, I don’t know of anything. I’ll guess the vast majority of his critics don’t know anything either.

If he doesnt do a good job at UNC, he should be fired. I’m doubtful he’s going to be a good NCAA coach, his GF is not one of my factors thinking this. I don’t think he’s interested in being the recruiter, booster, or young kid developer that makes a lot of great programs great. I suspect IDGAF works a lot better at the pro level than the NCAA level, cuz there you’ve got govt institutions and the associated sensitivities and politics, donors, boosters, etc. involved. In the pros, you’ve got your owner and if he’s cool with you - not much else matters
