I am a huge Rivers fan. I have his Jersey times 3 and named one of my children Philip.
Whatever circumstances are around the loss the QB is the constant. His inability to get anything going once momentum turned and following that up with turnovers is a constant. The defense having no help from the offense when momentum is against us and they are worn out is a constant.
I am not saying we should get rid of the guy it is just that I am realizing that we are never going to win a Championship with him as our QB. His only chance at a title is to be surrounded with a ridiculous team like a Dilfer or Brad Johnson and even then Rivers is not the type of guy you would want on that kind of team.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

Twice on MNF at home blowing 21 point leads? Isn't that twice in the last 10 or so games?
Big time Qbs don't let this happen. I don't remember this happening to guys like Manning, Brady , or even Brees.
Wade apparently told his defense that rivers was a great qb but that he gets nervous and will start to force bad throws. Clearly he was right.

It was 18 points. Didn't see it so I don't know how Brees did. They lost in OT.
We lost in regulation and the Denver game we lost by double digits. Also this is twice on MNF.....I have to think that is not coincidence. He can't handle the big stage.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

However, he bears a significant amount of blame for the offense struggles...3, 4 passes into the dirt? The INT was on him, big time.
Phil has got to settle down.

I absolutely hate blaming the refs but that call on the field goal was complete bullshit. There simply isn't any other way to spin it.
Also, I found it interesting the holding calls the Chargers amassed and yet I saw Freeney literally tackled twice with no call. WTF? There's my blame.
