For the record, Woodhead ain't Sproles. I have heard so many people saying that he gives us what we lost in Sproles and I found that laughable. So far, I don't see him as being that big an improvement over Brown.

He was barely used. He should be better than Brown in terms of moving the chains.

Again, that remains to be seen. But, he ain't Sproles.

Oh I agree. I don't know who made that comparison.

Unknown. He missed a lot of training camp. He's gotta be behind just because of that

I'm not saying anyone on here has, though there has been an emphasis on his effect on the offense by some here. I just don't see a heckuva lot of talent there. He's relatively quick but not near as quick as Sproles. He doesn't have size or speed either. I just heard so many saying what a big part of the offense he would be. If that was the case you'd have thought we'd see more of him on Monday night.

He's also in a new system. Same reason I think we saw so little of Vincent Brown.

I forget who it was but one analyst said Woodhead isn't like Sproles, he's more like Kevin Faulk. Just a unspectacular guy that moves the chains.

When Berman and Dilfer talked about Woodhead they were saying how Danny would be coming in to be the third down back as a receiver, to fill the role that Sproles used to play. Woodhead was only in on a few plays and predictably only on pass plays, the few that I remember seeing him in....when he finally shows up in the 2nd half, sure enough, pass play pick six. If people used to complain that Sproles was underutilized as a weapon, how would you guys describe how we've used Woodhead so far?

"more emphasis on the running game" + Danny pass catching weapon = more snaps for Ronnie Brown?

Brown played 48 snaps, or 91% of plays.

And how many of those plays did Rivers look to throw to him?

I don't mean just being on the field. Bird was just on the field but obviously nowhere near ready to be. Same with Geathers. Same with Marshall. RB just happens to be deep and a singular position.
