This guy sounds like he dominated and has a chance to make it at the NFL level. Coach once said he wants all tackles on the O-line because tackles are the best Offensive lineman. Didn't see a thread on this guy so started one.
I remind myself that Storm Norton was pretty highly acclaimed when he came to the Chargers after a season or two in a scrub league.

Do I hope that Ryan Nelson turns into a productive player for the Chargers? Yes, I do. Does he have a chance? Uhm...that's a strong 'maybe'.

Is it even possible that he's competing for anything more than a spot on the Practice Squad?

            Answer: Not really.

Nelson obviously has *some* talent, enough that the Bolts' talent eval guys believe it's worth it to invest a year of training and technique work to see if the result is worth hanging on to.

And they can cut their losses at any time, moving forward, if they become convinced that Nelson topped out at a level beneath the threshold for success in the NFL.
