Any experts know what the impact of a patella is for long term recovery? I know ACL injuries have come a long way and leads to near baseline level performance after 1.5 years or so. How does that look for patellas which I believe are worse for recovery.

Yes i believe this is a harder injury to come back from than ACL

Whenever I see some news about the Chargers come across the headlines, it's almost always something like this. Najee injures his eye in a fireworks accident. Perryman is arrested on gun charges. Slater is out for the 2025 season.

I just want to see a splash Charger headline that is awesome and encouraging and lifts our collective spirits. Sigh.

I read a few articles about patella tendon tears and do not recommend for anyone who has hope on a pro-bowl level recovery! Ill be rooting for Slater to beat the odds but there is a long list of great player who were never the same in recent years.

No they don't...Harbaugh just said a few days ago Pip is the swing OT and Salyer is the swing Guard.

Two seasons then? Wow...another Bosa contract problem. As far as I'm concerned The Alt age has begun if true and Slater is now in the rear view mirror and the Charger fans are holding the bag of poo. I hope this fixes the Chargers about signing long term guarantees without caveats signed into the contract.
