I wouldn't take Cooper at #22. Maybe 2nd rnd. I would rather they select Ted Hurst in the 2nd if he is there and if they are going the WR route.
Ted Hurst is my guy.Really hope he makes it to the 3rd tho.

      Kenyon Sadiq

Evan Engram/Delanie Walker compare, not ideal/vintage oversized Harbaugh TE of choice, limited production, potential based more on athleticism, is he better than Gadsden, vertical game is better than change of direction skills, unpolished route runner, could struggle as rook, plus run blocker, overall production was underwhelming, but needle def pointing up, unreliable hands could be in question on receiving end of Thor/Golden God, threat @all three levels, does he provide first round value, does he move the W/L needle, consensus is that he does not last past the teens

        Eli Stowers

gets open, creates instant separation, beats man coverage w/nuanced footwork, elite yard/route run numbers, lightweight inline and @contested catch point, poor run blocker, could be redundant w/Oronde as move TE, technically refined route runner, TE2, drops catchable balls, fits in pass happy offense, which is not how you describe a Harbaugh offense, hands a tad inconsistent, which again w/Herbert is a consideration/concern, Evan Engram/Zach Miller compare, is he more big slot or TE, team did not run ball to his side of field, as Oronde 2.0 hedge, is that good use of round two draft capital, good chance he'll be there @55, personally speaking not a fan of his intangibles, 'specially compared to Sadiq who is def an NFL player, and desired run blocker for a Harbaugh scheme

          Justin Joly

playmaker, better pass blocker than run blocker, question 'bout level of competition, questions 'bout mental makeup/mindset, Jonnu Smith compare, has good/sticky hands, more projection than solid gambit, good route runner, run blocking marred by inconsistent effort, not a plus run blocker, could provide value @123, not so much the case @86, like his intangibles, but like Stowers, lacking the key skill as a run blocker for a Harbaugh offense, tempting albeit prolly the better move to sign Jonnu Smith and allocate draft capital somewhere else

            Tanner Koziol

open even when covered, TE3, avg athlete, lacks explosiveness, will not take top off defense, level of competition in question, plays dinged up, golfer, swimmer, volleyballer, question if he will bring desired physicality, sure hands, Tyler Higbee compare, not sudden, like Stowers, is more functional than athletic, does not create separation, described as virtual turnstile as blocker, weak run blocker, bit of a plodder/Clydesdale, possible round six value play, albeit more likely the kind of player we have to stop drafting, as a Parham redux that does not check the required run blocking box and takes up a roster spot that would be better filled by someone who is not just filler

personal opinion, that while the TE talent is tempting in this draft, think I'd prefer the strategem of bringing in Jonnu Smith and finishing out the TE group w/Tucker Fisk, and to save our limited draft capital for other areas of the roster....

I agree on Jonnu Smith! He had his best season with McD and he wouldn’t be the primary TE but heavily involved. OG, Kolar and Smith would be a great trio.

I do like Dae’Quan Wright in the late rounds. Could be another Gadsden steal.

I threw it out there yesterday. l love Sadiq but he goes 19 to Carolina at the latest.

As for other TEs in the draft I do not think that is a luxury they can afford as they have left themselves more clear other needs

I don't know why we just don't sign David Njoku or Jonnu Smith and call it a day at TE with what we have? Both potential weapons for Herbert!

It is nice to go into the draft with as little needs as possible and go BPA. If Sadiq is there at 22 and they love him (doubtful anyways) then that is a nice problem to have. If he is likely gone I would rather have Jonnu to complete TE than draft someone like Justin Joly in the 3rd over IOL like Parker or Rutledge.

Hortiz after 26 years in Baltimore seems very beholden to the Raven way....which is BPA. Having good safeties did not stop them from drafting Kyle Hamilton. They had good RB when they drafted Jamal Lewis. They had a TE when they drafted Todd Heap.
