I guess my dream of getting Edge Rueben Bain from my Hurricanes in the next draft wont be happening. In a really early Mock, Brugler has Bain at #1 going to Tennessee!!

Yea, Bain will be long gone. They say this edge group is stacked coming out. Back end of the 1st seems into the 2nd seems to be more power rushers than speed.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View PostI guess my dream of getting Edge Rueben Bain from my Hurricanes in the next draft wont be happening. I am keeping my eye on Cashius Howell from A&M as more of a speed rusher.
Even with edge rusher being picked in the first 2 rounds, they are going to have to sign one in free agency. I’m hoping for David Ojabo to a prove type deal and even a Kwity Paye.

Minter and Jim like power rushers that can also set the edge. Great power rushers that also have great speed are few and far and usually gone in the first 7 picks, alas. We definitely need a talent infusion into that group next year.Originally posted by Boltinloudguy View Post

It's too early to say anyone is going anywhere in the draft, but from the looks of it, half of the first round next April could be spent on offensive and defensive linemen, which is a good thing for us. There are a lot of talented pass-rushers in that group, which is also good for us.Originally posted by Boltinloudguy View Post

RB Daylan Hollywood Smothers is a back I’d love to have on this team as their KR/PR/RB. He would be great depth for this team. Next year I hope the RB room looks like.
Omarion Hampton
Tyler Allgeier
Hollywood Smothers
Kimani Vidal if he makes the team.

I knew he would be long gone in reaity... was just a bit surprised Brugler has him all the way up to #1 in the draft. Looked good again tonight, so does the other edge there MesidorOriginally posted by Boltinloudguy View Post

LOL touche...Hopefully at least one good IOL earlyOriginally posted by sonorajim View PostI'm not really into next year's draft yet but just glancing at comments here, I'm surprised!
Reading comments about NYG and Wash games, I thought we would be drafting OL with the 1st three picks next year.

I've mentioned this before, but I really like Alabama safety Keon Sabb, who actually played for Harbaugh at Michigan until he transferred in 2024. He came through with a key interception against Vanderbilt today. I don't think he's considered a first-round prospect, and from what I'm reading he could go in the third. I wouldn't mind getting him there. We shall see.
