You tell a player you are not going to trade him, and then you go ahead and trade him.Originally posted by Ghost of Quacksaw View Post
Agree. Players understand that GMs can't be publicly forthright about their draft, or personnel move, intentions.
In general, players do not like getting traded.
You think it doesn't matter that the players do not trust a GM?

Ok. You might want to consider drafting Jordyn Tyson a little earlier than you thought before Friday.

is this just an indication of how bad this draft is up at the top? seems like a lot of teams had no issues trading away their top pick this year...I don't think any of this bodes well for the chargers making a deal on day one of the draft...Originally posted by richpjr View Post"The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Agreed, not expecting normal point value to move down from 22 a few spots. Maybe a 4th from the 49ers or 4th + 6th from Patriots If they want to come up for a T or WR?
Can see a team coming up for Lemon, Cooper, Mesidor, or one of the tackles. Not that I would be disappointed with Lemon or Cooper then OL at 55 or thereabouts

Hortiz never said anything remotely close to what you are suggesting. All he said was that there had been no *phone calls* to date on trades for the player.Originally posted by powderblueboy View PostYou tell a player you are not going to trade him, and then you go ahead and trade him.
Unless there's some part of his comments I missed?

Yeah. that looks pretty good if he's healthy. I like athletic freaks and that looks freaky good. He probably wouldn't get past dallas at #20 unless dallas trades up. I he's healthy i don't think Tyson makes it past #15 in this years draft. Germie is my second favorite as Physical freaks go...Originally posted by wu-dai clan View PostOk. The Chargers are positioned well for someone to fall into their lap. There will be an early run on offensive tackles. Who knows who ?Woods Jacas Zuhn Klein Heidenreich 4.18.26
