Even if they had Mike Webster at center in his prime that offense was too deficient in RB, WR and TE talent to compete.

How do you know I don’t want to be Boris? Rather jingoistic presumption.

We were 11-6 due to our #1 defense and that has nothing to do with the counter attack move I captured your Queen with. You said that this year Gro could counter the 2025 season-long IOL problems if he only had better tackles. Ahh but we have evidence you’re wrong. 2024 tape didn’t lie, when he did have two stellar OTs. In fact, he had 2 of the same 3 IOL players too. now you’ve checkmated yourself, hoisted on your own rusty petard.

He didn’t counter the IOL problems in 2024. He didn’t know how then, he doesn’t know how now. The entire world saw it … well, except for you. FYI You’re in a very small minority on that view.

I would add that Salyer and Pipkins were pretty awful at RG, Zion had a rough year at LG and Bozeman was Bozeman but yes the O "skill" guys left a lot to be desired. Our D was a strength.

The statement was that Gro could counter the IOL problems if he only had two good OTs. 2024 proves that is false. Bozeman and Zion also played all of 2024.

I was responding to riverwalk but 2024 had many differences.
I'd love to have added a healthy Slater and Alt to the team we have in 2025.

Eagles have 9 picks this year and 15 next.
Roseman will be trading up and/or for a star player or 2. Lomu and Lew fix the interior and Lomu is insurance for another big injury at tackle.
Resign Zion and sign a proven FA vet guard.
Hunter is a run stuffer, Graves an interior rusher only coming in, think he might be there.
I’m all about trading back and getting more picks. Hortiz should try and get at least 2-3 more picks.

I also dislike both G-Ioane and C-Laloulu. Both look very slow and immobile. I know several people here like Ioane, but the man looks like a statue to me. I much prefer Pregnon, although he isn't perfect either. I am personally hoping for Pregnon and Logan Jones, but I would be happy with any of 3 or 4 different Cs in the 2nd to 4th round. We definitely need to either re-sign Zion or sign a better G as well.

Lomu has fantastic footwork and is a redshirt sophomore !!

he is a little bit like Alt, in that he will need to put on some muscle/weight to improve his NFL anchor, and....

hands down the best bet outta those three.

Let's review where we stand for the 2026 Draft. We gave up #162 for Penning. The draft chart people are giving us #237 which we got for trading JaSir, though it's a conditional pick. So we could use another pick or two. We could trade down from #22, worth 780 points, down to around #26, for an 80 point difference. With that ammo, we could get #107 or a combo of a low 4th rounder and a 5th rounder. Of course, if we ad***** into the playoffs and are in the high 20's or so, we would adjust accordingly.
