icymi, all available starters will play at least one series, except Derwin James and Khalil Mack. Justin Herbert said the plan was originally for him to start vs. the Saints, but they held back due to the Slater injury.

the game is on TV live at 4 on both CBS 8 and ABC 10 in San Diego, don’t know why both. Its on delay on NFL Network per usual - I think 10pm but check your listings

LFG Chargers - any day with Charger Football is a GOOD DAY!

Rams broadcast and Chargers broadcast. Pick 8 for the Charger 'homers'

For the young guys who missed it. I seriously cried a little bit reliving how '81 season ended in -59 degrees cincy...maybe it was my age at the time..that was my biggest chargers disappointment.

Dont expect Justin to use his legs today. But i expect to see him use them often in the actual season. So if he is harassed often im assuming its not as bad if he is allowed to move. But Trey was asked to stay in the pocket week 1 and i expect the same for Justin. Roman mentions that about Trey after the HOF game. He also said they are prepping this week as if it were a game. To get in that sort of mindset. Likely doesnt mean much about plays....just that they practiced and prepped this week like it were a real game just to start getting in the habit of that process. Not scripting for Rams so much...just more about the weekly steps they will go through to game plan for a typical game.

I also am looking forward to seeing some runs behind better OL for Hampton. I really think he is going to show well this season. And if Herbert is under duress....look for Ekeler like dump production. Hampton after the catch will make Ekeler look like he was wearing lead boots. Hampton has breakaway speed for days. Hampton could very well end up doing what LT did...1...3....5...3....50...3....15...2...30 that type of thing. Chunk runs will be normal for Hampton.

I also think Tre will get a couple looks from Justin/QBs just because they are tired of the unwarranted Tre hate from fans.

Good film. I saw the season, not this film. Enjoyed all but the Ice Bowl.

Viewership stats after the game would be cool to project Ram vs Charger fan ratio in the broadcast area.

I’ll bet Kroenke and Spanos will get those.

couple of things that popped to me in that last Saints game, who the fuck was that guy wearing #44? I had high hopes for Matlock when he got drafted, I posted about it here that I thought he was going to be an absolute steal, now he loses weight to play FB and he's unlocked his quickness and get-off as a DT...I think many had written him off as an afterthought on defense but shit, if he keeps this up how can you not activate the guy to play STs, defense, and offense? he's turning himself into a legit defensive lineman, I thought during the Lions game that I had seen a couple of flashes from him but I wasn't sold but last week Matlock showed something...Matlock getting consecutive quick penetrations on the short drive after our guy muffed that punt was instrumental in that goaline stand...

I want to see him continue to improve his run blocking but I'm more excited of his potential on defense again...
