This is not a “must win” game.

This is a “statement” game.

I look for the Bolts to show up motivated and play tough, physical, mistake free ball.

Lets take it to the Chiefs and send them home bruised and battered.

Was waiting for someone to start this thread. I would've started it, but my track record of starting pregame and gameday threads corresponding to wins is not good.

So, we now know Rashee Rice is suspended for 6 games to start the season, a slap on the wrist IMO for the felonies he committed, but the point here is he will not play next Fri in Brazil. This will be Mahomes' receiving options:

#1 WR Xavier Worthy. 36 yo newly engaged Travis Kelce. #2 WR Hollywood Brown. Slot WR Niko Remigio. #4 WR Tyquan Thornton. #5 WR JuJu Smith-Schuster. 4th rnd rookie Jaylen Royals. #2 TE Noah Gray. #7 WR Jason Brownlee.

KC's running backs are Isiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt, 49er castoff Elijah Mitchell & 7th rnd rookie Brashard Smith.

A quick pass to the slot or TE was Brady's magic. I think Herbert should be able to play similar.

I think we should be who we are and not lead with our second best stuff.

We have a big, physical run blocking OL and a big, physical new top talent at RB. Go out there and push KC’s asses down the field. Make them want to quit. Keep Mahomies on the bench. That’s the path to winning. Not trying to keep up with Reid’s outstanding passing game.

I've always had a healthy respect for Spags, so nothing will come easy, but I say we forge our identity drive 1!
we have the guys to maul their DL, Chris Jones notwithstanding.
run at and through CJ and neutralize his passrush chops.
we may not dominant to start but we'll chip away, gain 1st downs, shorten the game and physically beat them down.
Nice and tender by 4th quarter.
Identity starts week 1. We can do it.
