Rodgers was at his 31 yard line when he launched the ball. It came down 2 yds deep into the end zone. That's 71 air yards. Maybe Herbert can throw it that far, I've just never seen him do it. The longest throw he's ever made was in his 2nd season when he threw that bomb to Guyton into the EZ against the Giants. That was about 60 air yards.

Rodgers didn't throw tonight's Mail Harry with a running heave, he ran to his left, stopped and set his feet and tossed it 71-72 yds, from his 31 to 2-3 yds deep in the end zone. I just rewatched the play. Maybe Herbert can throw it that far, I've just never seen him do it. Maybe he will have to some day.

Herbert has a rag arm in comparison to Rodgers .... and Flacco throws some pretty keen long balls, not that you mention it.

I can't tell if this is a serious post or not. Herbert has one of the strongest arms in the NFL and I'd guess at this point stronger than Rogers.

Interestingly we haven't seen Herbert throw too many Hail Marys. I remember one in Buffalo, and that's it.

I also remember he made a ridiculous throw against the Eagles a few years back. Herbert threw the ball from outside the right hashmark on about our 25-yard line and it landed in Mike Williams' arms inside the Eagles' 20--probably the 18-yard line. I don't know if that equates to 70 yards, but that was one of the most ridiculous throws I've ever seen.

Rivers threw a Hail Mary about 63 yards against the Broncos at the end of that ridiculous loss to the Broncos in the second game of the 2008 season (Ed Hochuli screwing up Jay Cutler's fumble). Rivers was around our 40-yard line and it landed about three yards into the end zone. If he was able to do that in the prime of his career, I'm pretty sure Herbert can throw it 70 yards now.

I think Herbert and Allen have the strongest arms among starting quarterbacks in the NFL. I remember reading that Anthony Richardson has the strongest arm in the NFL, which goes to show you that arm strength is a very small piece to the puzzle of a successful quarterback in the NFL. Jeff George is another example. That guy was right up there with Elway when it came to arm strength.

are you guys trying to figure out who has the bigger dick? Rodgers can throw it far. Herbert can throw it far. Allen can throw it far. If Nix threw that last Rodgers pass, they would have been jumping for it around the 10-15 yard line. There are a few other QBs who can also throw it far nobody is mentioning. Is their a prize or something at the end of this?

I can just imagine Stefanski telling Flacco, "Yo Joe, the Bengals want you to throw passes to Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins. Are you interested?" Joe be like, "When's the next plane to Cincinnati?"
