I'd rather have Keenan than Mike. Keenan and Ladd will be a problem that DC's will have to figure out quickly.
Spags couldn't figure it out... and he's one of the best defensive minds.
Everybody trashing on Omarion Hampton. But his presense (and potential) was what Spags worried about. They came to stop the running game first... and Roman made them pay. We are now a well-rounded offense. Sometimes we'll rely on the passing game... sometimes we'll rely on the running game. It's nice to know that we have the players to do either.Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

on the Chris Jones play. Chris got so excited he went for the sack. I always tell guys this. I saw Nick Bosa do this. In the Super Bowl. It was with Mahomes. You don’t have to over doo it and go for the sack. And just get aggressive. Frosty Rucker did it in the national championship against Texas and Vince Young.
Always Keep Contain!!!!!!!!!!! When I played defensive end. All I wanted to do was flush the runner allow my teammates to get there. Or flush him to my teammates.
it wasn’t about getting shine. Just stand put your hands up and force him to the sideline. That’s all you have to do. Guys want that shine and freestyle so they can try to get t that glamorous sack to dance. All you gotta do is just force him out keep contain don’t give that field up.
Well it cost KC the game.

Fun fact: Herbert already has 2x the rushing yards that Rivers compiled in his entire career
Fun fact: Rivers had 57 INTs his first 5 starting years, Herbert had 45
Fun fact: Rivers had 135 TDs his first 5 starting yrs, Herbert had 137
*note: We have to excuse Rivers for not being able to win the starting job until his 3rd season to even make the numbers remotely close. Otherwise - first 5 vs first 5 would be a total blowout in Herbert’s favor
Everyone already knows Herbert had the most yards of ANY QB IN NFL HISTORY in the first 5 years
now tell me honestly - which Qb had a better supporting offensive roster and coaching his first 5 years? Cmon - be honest. Prime LT, Gates, Caldwell, VJax, etc … cmon! Coach Marty and even Norval vs Lynn and Staley? CMON!!!
I get the total career stats aggregation methodology. I’m telling y’all that methodology is flawed by over-weighting total time on task but you can wait another 5 or more years to admit what I’m telling you today (and I told you last year, and year before):
Herbert is the best QB in Chargers History. Period.
I’ll Ride or Die with The Golden God. I would never trade Herbert for either a prime Rivers nor a prime Fouts, not in a million years."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. I know we are all bored by now with the endless Minter praise...
But good lawd...the Chargers have no real pass rushers at all. Even Mack wasn't making any noise. Yet Minter schemed respectable pressure from loincloth thread last night.

Losers: Chiefs pass rush
We just honored Drue Tranquill's two sacks, but Justin Herbert put up MVP numbers on the night in part because he had enough time to bake a cake when going back to pass. The Chiefs front four couldn't get anything going all night long, and that's saying something in a game like this.
For those paying attention, the Chargers offensive line is not exaclty the gold standard. They were already settling for mediocrity by starting Bradley Bozeman and Zion Johnson inside. Then Rashawn Slater was lost for the season which forced another average player into the lineup in Trey Pipkins. Somehow those players all held their own and gave Herbert all the time in the world to pick the Chiefs' defense apart.
The lack of impact from a unit that's eating up so much cap space and high-level draft investments is very frustrating.
Zion had some one on one matchups with Chris Jones, and he faired well: they'd put Chris Jones on his left shoulder and occupied momentarily Bozeman with a possible blitzer.
Pip, they were giving help with a tight end - who would deliver the first blow and then go out in his pattern.
Sometimes, they left Pip alone. He's on the Terrance Steele level of NFL right tackles.
Bozeman was effective and knew were to go last night.
