    Notice a pattern, LOL?

If some of you aren't enjoying our team...worrying about the mortal damage a scrambling QB might wreak upon us....Don't know what to say to you.
    Oh no.
at this rate, we'll be giving up a whopping 19 points a game in 12 years!!

The Commandos come to town without two of their top 3 WR and the other one a question mark, a 7th rnd rookie at RB, and a gimpy QB.
Shouldn’t even be a close game if the Commanders have that many injuries.

Anything less than a blowout would be embarrassing.

We have more injuries than they do and are a slight favorite for a reason. I don't care if we win by 1 point as long as we win.

It's honestly surprising to me to see the Chargers picked by so many to win this game. If the OL can't pull it together a hell of a lot better than they did last week, we'll be lucky to win 5 more games. And, yes I understand how good the Giants DL is. Doesn't matter much when they can't even handle stunts or blitz packages from lesser defenses. Especially minus Alt & Becton. Teams know that they'll be able to pin their ears back and just come after Herbert and/or stack the box against the run, since these guys can't run block for shit most the time either.

I do hope I'm wrong of course, but I don't see it as of now.

            now.
Couldn’t disagree more. Everytime a team blitzes, they leave a potential receiver or two uncovered. An elite QB combined with a smart OC can feast on that.

The problem Herbert experienced against the Giants was holding the ball too long waiting for long passes to develop. During the game when Herbert threw quickly to either a RB, TE, or slant receiver, he defeated the blitz pressure.

You can have the best OL in the NFL and still get sacked by a blitz if you stay in the pocket too long waiting for a deep pass route to develop.

We lost last week to the Giants by 3 points on the road with an early start, despite 14 penalties, a couple of unusual interceptions, poor tackling, dropped passes, in game injuries and just an overall sloppy performance. We all worry about the offensive line for a reason but many of the other things are fixable and I expect a much more focused team this week. Alt's injury is not long term, Mack will be back and I expect we weather the storm and will be okay. Harbaugh is just too good of a coach to let this team crater.

We're also not facing the Giants' or Broncos' defensive line, which is nice.

You're right. When Herbert doesn't hold the ball and stand like a statue in the pocket under pressure, things happen. The problem is how often he doesn't get rid of the ball quickly or use his legs to GTFO of the pocket when he's under duress. Some of that is on him and some of that is on play calling, yes.

So, here's to better play calling than the last game, and 10 either getting the ball out quickly or using his legs to make something happen, or getting rid of the ball instead of taking sacks/hits.

I wish more fans were would understand this instead of ducking and running for cover.

This week's offensive game plan will be designed not to expose the OL, there won't be as many deep drops or pass plays that require Herbert to wait for routes to develop, there will be more quick-developing plays. They have the offensive weapons for it.

Well we have the first half of that covered, at least.

I love Harbaugh, but he's not infallible. He had some pretty mediocre teams at Michigan before they finally won it all.

It takes time. We're on the right path, that's for sure. We still need better talent along the OL and inevitably Roman will need to be replaced, the only question is how long does Harbaugh wait to make that move and how far does it set us back?

Trust, but verify. A smarter man than me said that.
