Well, what about all the penalties totaling the length of a football field, and the fluke turnover where our two players collided, Ladd's drops, and our punter's and Still's brain farts?

eliminate these elements and we probably win the game in spite of the pass rush. These talented 4 couldn't stop our running game.

Always more than one reason but that is the main one and will be an issue that opponents will focus on every week until it improves. It is not sustainable to have your QB pressured on 55-60% of his dropbacks

I had hoped the Houston game taught them that

Interceptions from top level QBs generally a result from lots pf pressure. Herbert isn't a QB who just goes out there and makes dumb throws

Harbaugh went out of his way to talk about Herbert getting hit so much so it will be interesting to see how we adjust this week. Hoping Alt's injury is not lingering and getting Becton and Dissley back would help a bunch.

Calm down everybody. Nobody could've anticipated that Slater would suffer a season ending injury in training camp and that both Alt and Becton would unavailable for a 10 am road game. It was a stinker of game for the Chargers, but it's not the end of the world or of the season. Nine times out of 10, even given the OL situation, the Chargers would beat the Giants. The Giants had some luck on their side in their house against a severely weakened opponent. Even playoff teams have a stinker of game where they embarrassed by an inferior team. The Eagles last season lost to the Falcons at home by 1 pt in Week 2. They barely got by the Saints (15-12) in week 3 then lost to Tampa by 17 pts in week 4. They rallied and had a pretty good season.

The OL is a problem, no denying that. Adjustments need to be made. But Harbaugh, Roman and Hortiz are super experienced, they know what they are doing. You have to put your faith in them to fix the problem. This may be the Chargers' worst game of the season. If they roll into Dec at 10-2 or 9-3, nobody is going remember this game.

Try to look at the positive that came out of this game.

Hampton is for real, quite possibly the best Chargers RB since LT. He is averaging 5.0 yds per carry.

QJ is effing legit! He's averaging 84 yds per game and has scored 4 TDs. Nacua and Seattles JSN are the only two WR averaging more, but QJ has 2x as many TD receptions as those two combined. No other WR is averaging 80+ yds per game and has scored 4 times. QJ is a top 5 WR right now.

The defense got 6 sacks yesterday, Tuli with 4 solo QB takedowns! He is tied for 5th place in sacks, only 1 behind the league leader, who has 5.

So come on people, cheer up. It was only one game. The Chargers will come out prepared to take care of business at SoFi next week v Washington.

For sure, we need Becton back from concussion asap. Dissly would help too. Not sure what Fisk and Matlock do out there

If Alt has high ankle sprain we are looking at 4 week minimum. I am just not ok with Deculus at LT for 4 more weeks. Maybe Salyer out there. He played ok there once upon a time, but has sucked as a guard since.

              OK agree!

HOWEVER, if this next game the QB keeps blowing by our Dline and LB's for first downs, and Herbert has constant pressure every time he drops back, and we lose I'm going to be pissed!

We're all going to be pissed. Harbaugh is not going to let that happen, even if he has to dress for the game and block himself.

As he should. Listen Harbaugh was a QB as well. Damn tough QB. So he knows all to well how hard it is for a QB to get any kind of rhythm going for an Offense when you're constantly getting hit in the mouth.

Well some of us already knew Hampton was a stud, no big discovery there.

QJ definitely a great story this year

But i am going to push back on the blind credit to Hortiz and Harbaugh for being experienced and know what they are doing...only when it comes to offensive line. They preach it as the most important group on the team but it is the one position group they have not gotten right yet.

Jury still out on that one. If they do nothing but stay in house and Herbert keeps getting pressured at a 55-60% rate that is not showing they are on top of it. The concern does not come at all from one game, but rather knowing a porous o line assures more such games on the way.

You have a real chance to take the AFC West this year, but one position group could derail all that. A GM like Howie Roseman doesnt do nothing in these situations

Agreed, but if an elite QB wasnt pressured on 60% of his drop backs and hit 14 times, he is good enough to overcome those other mistakes. He did it last week but you cant expect a QB to take that pressure and beating every week and it not effect him, no matter how tough he is.

Apparently Alt wanted back in yesterday, but the team said no. We all thought the worst when we saw him carted to the locker room yesterday. Let's see what the MRI says. The Donkeys and Giants have two of the better DL's in the league so lets see what this week brings with Washington
