I think Zion will be brought back next year, but I pray a new C and new RG are added

Pretty clear Becton is unreliable at this point. I wonder if the Chargers can get out of that deal after 1 year
They will save $10 mil in cap space if they cut Becton in the offseason.

As FA Gs next year and you’re cutting Becton. 2 free agents I’m looking to bring in for depth and competition are RGs Daniel Faalele, Will Hernandez to battle and LG Ben Cleveland for depth. Resign Zion and draft C Logan Jones in the 2nd. Boze isn’t going anywhere and I’d be good with him being the backup. Draft another G like DJ Campbell in the 6th for depth. Also sign Max Mitchell as your swing tackle.

At end of year, evaluate all FA OGs and OCs ... all 3positions should have competitors welcome signs over their lockers. Between the 3, I'd bring Zion back but what will he sign for vs other FAs that will be on the market.

Draft OC early, just "over-pay" a draft slot value and lock it down. Boze as backup is good, agree. Day 3 OG but I don't want to bet the season again on a Day 3 surprise starter. They are surprises, not plans.
Justin Herbert is Elite. Ride or Die ...

Good catch. Hadn't realized how little guaranteed money the Chargers gave him. I could very much see them moving on. Dude has just got to find a way to stay on the field and deliver more when he's on it.

Faalele is the Raven's "Bozeman" if you ask ANY Ravens fan.
Becton has 10 plus games to prove himself, I wouldn't count him out just yet.

That’s why you bring in competition. You don’t sign him to start, you sign him, somebody like Will Hernandez and draft a G and have them battle it out.

Or pay for somebody like Brady Christensen to start. But I don’t think they will pay a high price for 2 Gs. I think they resign Zion to a $15 mil APY contract, draft a C and bring in some competition for RG. If they don’t cut Becton, I still believe they bring in some quality depth that will challenge Becton. Faalele, Hernandez, Ed Ingram, Teven Jenkins or Strange could be the competition.

It seems to me that Herbert is running more because pass plays aren’t designed better or not being properly executed. Less time to throw maybe factors in.

He was decisive with the runs. As soon as he saw it open up, he was gone.

Oh they're moving on. This guy is not a Harbaugh player. They could move him right now for all I care. When he is out of the line up it's addition by subtraction. Keep Zion tho. He's becoming more and more reliable and was plowing guys last night

The Bolts do have an out with Becton's deal after this season...$2.5 mil dead cap:
