Vidal shown some savvy running behind the counters allowing the blocks to develop before he hits the jets through the alley. A RB can easily get ahead of those blocks and limit a chunk gain to just a couple yards. There's a timing and rhythm to running well behind blocks. Vidal was impressive last week.
Who has it better than us?

just stop teasing me, Gro! stop it now!!!
Whenever opposing D's see DD lined up, they KNOW there's a 90% probability it's a jet sweep...Gro might as well pull out a megaphone and shout, "Here Comes the Sweep"...so, so lame and predictable...

His TD run was a perfect example of that. He waited for the big boys to grade the road, and he just walked in behind them, Patience rewarded.

I don't know if Hortiz will make a trade before the deadline Tues, rumors were rife a few weeks ago that Joe was going to trade for an RB, but don't I know that he will now that Kimani has shown he is capable. The Chargers only have five 2026 picks remaining, no 5th or 7th. If Hortiz does make a trade, for any position, I think it will be a player for player deal, like the Gilman-Oweh trade. Hortiz will be loathe to give up any additional 2026 picks, unless he can swing a deal using a 2027 pick. Anyway, Hampton is getting closer to returning, and it looks like the Chargers will have in Vidal a decent back up to Hampton.

To me, we have a decent chance of winning all of the next four games. That would change the complexion of things dramatically.

Joe is always working. I am excited about having a smart, proactive gm and will be glued to the wire early Tuesday afternoon.

Odds of a Charger trade I put squarely at 50-50.

I can't wait to have Hampton back and I hope it's next week against the Steelers.

Breece Hall made a lot of sense to me as a Najee replacement a few weeks ago. Vidal's emergence has made that less of a pressing need. But we're thin at that position right now. Joe knew we were weak at edge and got Odafe. We're thin at a few other spots so I wouldn't be surprised to see a move. There's no wait til next year when you're in the thick of it at the halfway point

OK. Don't participate in that thread. Good call.

We do need to be concerned that Cam Ward is capable of pulling a Jaxson Dart on us.

As weird as it may sound, Mike McCoy is capable of being a quarterback whisperer, even if it is only a stunt that gives him 15 minutes of fame vs a former team of his.
