When the reporter says the Chargers guessed correctly at what play was coming, which Chargers was he talking about? Because, after reading that article, it sounded like the Chargers didn't know what was coming.

Shit, you should be thankful Pagano didn't call for a 3 man rush.

Yeah I put the blame on Pagano more than any specific player with that defensive failure. IMO they should have rushed 5 or 6 to get to Schaub to rush his pass then let the DBs play press coverage and take down the receiver well before the 1st down marker. They probably would have gone for it on 4th down though and converted so it may not have mattered but if we forced a punt or turnover on downs at that point I think it would have been a completely different game.

This 3rd down situation was when the Chargers were up 28-7 early in the third quarter. At that point they weren't very gassed. Pagano made the wrong call with this play IMO, letting Andre Johnson run freely in the secondary was foolish along with not sending enough pass rushers on that play.

The 3rd down defensive efficiency has taken a nose dive since Ron Rivera left the team. If this efficiency doesn't improve very much this year I think it's time the Chargers look for another D coordinator.

I'd like to have him back. That dude made a decent defense out of nothing.

That team, when he first got here, had no defensive linemen worth anything. His best player was Shaun Phillips, and he wasn't much.

IMO you bring the house. You force a quick throw and make that 10 yard stop if he completes his hot read pass. To lay off and let him be comfortable with a 7 step drop is a complete fuck up coaching call. Pagano better step it up quick or people are going to start calling for his head. I'm a baseball guy and that is strike one in my book.
