Sprains are common in both knees and ankles. Tears are very common for knees, rare for ankles. Much less likely to be season ending.

They initially listed Hart with an 'ankle' when he was in the locker room and it looked like a knee. Could the coaching staff be hiding their hand by saying Alt has an ankle?
