Win the next two, sit Herbert vs number 1 and 2 defenses against Houston and Denver.

I think pound the ball again as much as we can. Not going to be as succesful as it was against the Raiders probably, but if we get it going just a tad, will take some pressure off Herbert especially if he is not at 100 percent. Going to be a tough one, but this is the NFL: Anything can happen.

The Eagles are 8-4, same record as the Chargers. They've lost two straight, one on the road, one at home, they gave up 24 pts in both games, scored 21 pts @ Cowboys and 15 pts vBears.

How the Eagles are still the favorite in this game I don't understand, but I think the Chargers win.

Today the Chargers ran for 192 yards while holding the Raiders to 31 yards on the ground.

Vidal averaged 5.0 yards per carry, Patterson 4.9 ypc.

Next week the Chargers will probably get Hampton back. The Eagles are bottom 10 in run defense, giving up 129 ypg.

The Eagles are 19th in pass defense, giving up 218 yds per game. The Chargers are #2 in pass defense, giving up 168 ypg.

The Chargers are 11th in total offense, the Eagles 24th.

The Chargers are tied for 6th with Houston in sacks, with 34. The Eagles are 24th in sacks, with 24.

The Chargers are 13th in rushing offense with 121 yds per game. The Eagles are 22nd with 108 ypg.

Vidal is averaging 4.3 yds per carry. Saquon Barkley is averaging 3.7.

Where do the Eagles have an advantage over the Chargers? The Chargers have been better in almost every facet.

I don't know what the Eagles problem is this year. A friend of mine who is a die hard Eagles fan says they only play one-half of decent football per game and its not the same half each time.

I'd be hard pressed to name a position group or player that is more talented on the Chargers than the Eagles. Maybe Edge? QB if Herbert plays?

Really? I think it's just the opposite. The Chargers have been superior in just about every facet on offense and defense this season.

We seem to have two different LA Chargers teams this year. The ones which don those navy blue uniforms who are gritty and they are sluggers. Then there is another version which wears the awful yellow gold colors, in any combination. They always come across as flat, fatigued and uninspired. I hope and pray not to see any golden yellows next Monday.

Eagles game will be all powder blues.

                    No more yellow this season

Their interior d-line vs our IOL. Bad matchup there.

If, like the Jags game, they can get pressure with 4 and drop 7, it could be bad.

Being able to run is a must.

                        Herbert for sure. Kicker
But the Eagles are a mess right now. The game against the Bears, offense was inconsistent. Defense was roughed up - couldn't get a stop on the ground

Chargers need to run the ball. Don't quit it. Run the damn ball. Especially if the score is still manageable, if trailing.

I get the interior of the Bears OL is vastly superior to the Chargers but that doesn't mean you don't still try to run the ball

On defense, still have to slow down the run but Hurts and his receivers are not on the same page
