BOOM! There’s the analogy we’ve been waiting for.

It makes as much sense as playing Herbert in a preseason game.

    Thank you Charge!

Having a better chance to win in the playoffs should be the only thing that matters to the players, if that is not the top priority then there is a problem...last year Barkley had a chance to shatter the rushing record and probably put it out of reach for a very long time and they sat him down, he didn't bitch and moan about it and neither did his teammates and oh yeah, they went on to win the fucking Super Bowl, if you ask Barkley today what meant more to him I'm very very confident that he's over the moon that he won a title and has zero regrets about the record...

i just hope, in the chargers building, the debate was 1 second
Herbert and other starters aren't playing and lets figure out who will be.

Herbert’s been gutting it out for 2 months now taking multiple shots on his broken hand every game from players trying to re-injure it and you want to throw him out there again in basically a meaningless game?

And look how many players get injured every game, we’re bound to have a few more if they play next week.

The opportunity this week to rest as many beat up players is a godsend.
hopefully these conversations are being had at the Bolt, how can they not be, a lot of the older guys could use a break and there is literally no incentive in Denver, none, a record for Herbert and another win means nothing when you could fly out to Foxboro rested and having planned for them for two weeks...

If he got injured, you going to say, “well he earned it”?

Also, Herbert’s reputation rises or falls based on the playoff game result even he threw for 600 yards in Denver.

If his playoff performance resembles last year, his reputation will be destroyed.
I trust Herbert's decision more than that of our coaches. Maybe he feels this team will improve with playing in actual games, and it's worth the risk. Don't know what he's thinking, we will find out soon enough. One thing's for sure, he won't have to worry about his reputation either way, the guy's golden.

Yeah, look no further than the coaches decision of who's best to start at left tackle ALL SEASON.

I'm betting he plays and plays well. And if he gets hurt y'all can scream to the Gods and bring your pitchforks for the burning of Harbaugh then bring in that nerdy dude from Miami if you want.

Harbaugh arguing with himself? It's his call.
