Thanks and gratitude as always NMC for breaking things down for us. I didn't watch the game live due to lack of access to NFLN but this loss clearly goes down to miserable lack of execution, crucially by the OL till well into the 4th Q and had Dicker not failed so miserably, they actually had a chance to tie despite all their errors! Herbert, just like Josh Allen and Mahomes has the ability and the mental toughness to come back (something which I had questioned in the past) but unlike the two, he either had to deal with shyte lines or lack of star WRs.

great work NMC. a couple plays i see at first glance.
1. 7:38 it sure looks like Ladd would have more open if he had just stopped at the top of his route, instead of drifting to his left where the safety was (in the end zone). Herbert ended up throwing it to where he would have been if he had just stopped at the top of his route.
2. 9:05 this was a great play. i wish they ran more of these plays in place of runs on 1st and 2nd down. it is an easy 5-10 yards and leaves the defense guessing what is going on.
3. 9:25 this is the formation we need when we have 3 WR's. 7 guys on the line of scrimmage, with the 7th (TE) running interference on the Edge rusher before leaking out on a crossing route. This has to be the minimum protection with 3 WR's. If they use a RB, he needs to chip the first rusher getting through the line before leaking out to the flat.
4. 9:49 how dare you give a "shout out" to bozeman on the TPB!
JUST KIDDING!!
also, a side question, what editing software do you use for these youtube videos? i am looking at starting a podcast (not a chargers podcast). i have small bit of experience with adobe premiere, but i am wondering if there is something easier to use. Adobe is great, but it is challenging to master.

Great job NMC! As you've noted, there's no way to scheme around poor execution. Players make plays.
I wish more people would watch these film breakdowns. The All-22 tape shows greater detail... that most are missing.
A lot of different formations... complete with motion... showing guys open.
Hart and Becton showing bad angles and bad footwork.Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

The guy at the top is Molden. He's playing outside technique... forcing the WR toward the middle.Originally posted by Craig440 View PostGood stuff again. I don't understand the defensive coverage sometimes. When you pause it at 1:43 what is the guy at the top of the screen doing or hoping to do? haha He looks like he is way out of anything possible.
Tony Jefferson was supposed to drop deep and protect against the post route.
Many blamed Molden for that TD... but it was Jefferson who made the mistake. I think he owned up to it.Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

thx NMC. a lot goes into that. again, great work.Originally posted by NoMoreChillies View PostThe coaches film i get from international Gamepass via DAZN
I record plays with OBS
Then switch to Bandicam to draw the arrows and lines and record voice
then Clipchamp to edit together and add effects/music
finally export to Youtube and post link
this thread is criminally under-utilized here. so many wild opinions, so little studying...

Thanks for the explanation. Like I said I don't understand coverage most of the time, but you made it make sense.Originally posted by Boltnut View Post
