I love seeing Dlinemen and Olinemen with wrestling backgrounds. They understand leverage and hand placement.

Me too. I come from a wrestling background. The hand fighting, the leverage, the quick-shoot of hands... it all applies to the trenches.
I see a lot of these DT's (especially the taller ones) using poor leverage. I think some of these guys are getting by on their size... but their mechanics are wrong. Could that be coached...? Sure. But there is no guarantee these guys will learn those techniques... while others already have the mechanics down.

Listen, I'm not banging the table for all of these edges to be drafted @#22. I'm saying that I think most of them are better than the DT's people are talking about at #22... Woods, Banks, Hunter... IMO, the only DT that belongs in the conversation with Parker, Mesidor, and Young @#22 is Kayden McDonald.

My conversation about Jacas started with a possible trade-back scenario. I think he'll go late 1st round or early 2nd round. While people here are talking about him being available in the 2nd round. There are a bunch of teams @32-40 that could use an edge player... I think slotting and talent line up there.

So I guess my question or hold up for me. If you trade back to 27 and Jacas and Hunter are there, who do you take? For me it’s a coin flip and I would be good with either. It also depends on what they fill in free agency. But also, who is the best value at pick 27?

the point was that Tuli got overlooked despite top level production….

personally see too many ?s w/the other three, as still think Mesidor is the safer gambit…. by the numbers and based on his intangibles, and….

think the all of ‘em are second round talents….

On the flip side, wasn’t Kennard SEC DPOY? Playin on Bama defense is gonna give you opportunities imo - lets hope he can take a big leap this year

Probably would take the highest rankled player on their board at 27 -- as you have traded back so are comfortable with the 3 or 4 players you think will be there and the positions they play. Could even be a choice of CB in the mix.

Yes but he played his senior year at S. Carolina, and before that at Georgia tech

Oh, that's a good question. I don't like Hunter as much as most people... and I like Jacas more than most.
All of this depends on who they sign or re-sign in free agency...
Jacas...? Probably get egg on my face for this one.
I've been horribly wrong before.
