I like your mock draft very much
With only five picks and some work in FA, they can do something really good !
Imagine Herby with time to pass !

Draft sim trade offers galore. If only real life was like that and you get 3 or 4 juicy trade options every single pick lol. I wanted to take edge earlier but the board just didn’t fall.

Velo you can be my GM! 3 OL in 5 picks. Somebody understand simplicity, priorities, & pathway to the SB.

1 OG and 1 OT at least in the first two days. Need a quality 3rd swing OT given the propensity for injury among our starting OTs and in case either are not able to return from injury before the start of the season or at all.

Velo excellent now get to work on FA Center, lol. Is the plan for these OG draft picks to be game 1 starters (I like this)?

My FA plan is to sign OC Tyler Linderbaum and re-sign both Oweh and Zion. My game 1 starting OL is Alt (or Slater), Zion, Linderbaum, Ioane, Slater (or Alt).

Keep nourishing my understanding of Chargers 2026 roster Velo. I like the 2 re-signs, how much more cap space are you creating given lots of departures?

I haven't dove into FA beyond signing Linderbaum and re-signing Oweh and Zion. I think they have the cap space already to do that, beyond that I don't know. There are some intriguing under the radar FA that Hortiz could grab, I'm not skilled enough to figure out all the cap they will have after these 3 signings coupled with departures.

In the interests of proper English, this thread should be titled "The 2026 Super Duperty-Do Mock Draft Thread".

The redundancy of "Super Duper Duperty Do" would've sent my third grade teacher into conniptions.

We're all just guessing. Hortiz is several levels higher with his experience, training and assets. Getting a specific name from among his choices in outside FA or draft is pretty good.

Hortiz has everything charted out, he has his priorities and knows who he wants to pursue, he knows what each FA is going to command and what he can do with the resources he has. That's why he's getting paid millions and we are posting on a fan board.

I do feel strongly they have to sign or draft a quality OT, not an Austin Deculus, Trey Pipkins, Bobby Hart or Trevor Penning. It has to be an OT who can competently play either side for a long period. They can't just cross their fingers and hope that both Slater and Alt are going to be 100 percent by training camp and pick up where they left off. They have to be prepared. That's why I'm an advocating for an OT on day 2 of the draft. You can never have too many quality OTs, like you can never have too many good pass rushers.
