I used to say that we need to use QJ the same way MM uses Tyreek. Movement piece pre snap like 60% of the snaps in a given game. Always moving. Always trying to get him the ball in space fast. No need to hold onto the ball for long.

QJ is not a big game WR. Hope he is an impact 3rd WR and Harris emerges as the main perimeter guy. I dream of Pickens in this offense.

QJ surprisingly fits since he can encompass a lot of ground whilst moving. Its those fast long strides. There will be plays where he'll be wide open. MM can literally draw up plays which mitigate any of QJ's weaknesses yet take advantage of his strengths.

Goes down on first contact easily though. And in the post season looks rough. But who doesnt? Much rather have a tackle breaker YAC guy. Guy that turns into RB after the catch. Puka is the best at that IMO.

Praying we can elevate QJs game. Increase his value. Get a comp pick with a decent contract in 2027.

Watching the playoffs, I envy some of the teams TE/WR. It doesn’t seem like they drop any passes and does acrobatic one handed catches. Fast balls are not an issue as well like they are on a different level. Hopefully MCD elevates the O this year.

QJ does have long strides and can build up good speed downfield, but I disagree he is good on jet sweeps or bubble screens. He doesn’t have the quick twitch, lateral agility or acceleration like other speedy guys. Seems like he’s always brought down before he can turn the corner or make anyone miss.

I wanted JSN so bad. They are starting to stack he and Cupp together and its creating problems. The Shaheed pick and turning him into an AP returner was another nice move. Now the best KO guy in the league. He had one for NO.

Really like OG2 but would love to have a guy like Hunter Henry again. Inline blocker type who makes plays.

Actually QJ would be better served in wheel route concepts disguised as a jet sweep during play action. The play action draws the LBs in of course. So Essentially:

Fake jet sweeps. Fake handoffs. Fake QB looks. WR's running Fake routes. Behind that curtain of fakeness lies a punch in the face so to speak.

To make it work you need guys to constant move and play fast in perpetual motion.

I agree QJ can be used in a variety of ways. Line him up in the backfield with Hampton, go in motion, wheel routes, even a toss. Crossers, quick screens. Do screen with him in the backfield as well. He’s a YAC guy, get him the ball and see what he can do with good blocking.

How about a reverse with Harris then he passes instead of running since he played QB. Or line Harris up in the backfield, toss it and have him pass it it that way.
